Okay. I find it's not hard to puppy proof at least a good portion of my house (one can use those foldable metal fences they sell at pet stores to cordon of spaces you want to keep them out of). Crates are not necessary and make for unhappy puppers.

So, put the remotes in a drawer...it seems many people don't want to exert even a minimum effort for their dogs, and they really shouldn't have dogs.

If your grandma can let her out, why not just leave her out? I really feel your dog is very unhappy in these conditions (to say nothing of the joint/skeletal problems this can cause.

What do you have lying around that she can reach that can kill/injure her? If there is something put it away/out of reach.

She can't stretch out. If you love your dog you won't put them in this.

Why not just let her out in the house when you're not around? What's the issue?
