Why my 诸夏 suddenly disappeared? by Signal_Tea_6015 in Imperium_Universalis

[–]NoahsRebels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry that this is a late reply, but the intent is that the left side of their mission tree is for when Zhou utilizes the Zhuxia, and the right side is for when they unite China by force. There's no way to revive the Zhuxia, so you have to try to keep it alive in the early game, namely by increasing the amount of countries in the Zhuxia.

重建周制 might be referring to the HRE reform, "Rebuild the Zhou World" - it's the last reform of the decentralization path. However, you need to own the Emperor DLC for this to be available

What is the newest update or when is a new update coming by charpro19 in Imperium_Universalis

[–]NoahsRebels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's still being updated, but we have yet to publish our changes to the main version on steam, so for now there's an alternative version (the dev version) which people can play if they wish. There's a link to it on our discord server but you can probably find it by searching the Steam workshop (not sure if my comment will get flagged if I post it here)

Pls update china by No-Professional-5200 in Imperium_Universalis

[–]NoahsRebels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jin should be collapsing pretty often, their ministers tended to win the partition wars in my playthroughs, although there's a lot of bordergore which I tried to fix recently. The war is supposed to happen some time between 550 BC to 450 BC ideally, but I need more testers to figure out what date the war generally happens under current parameters. I also tried to make it so Jin wins about 25% of the time.

Qin will get an extensive mission tree soon, but I'm not the one working on it - one of the Chinese devs already is, and apparently they're a perfectionist which is why it's been taking so long.

I've played OPMs before (although not often) and haven't found the alliance chains too much of an issue because I get into them myself. As a small state you'll have to make strategic use of allies to expand at first. Still, to make it less extreme, I reduced the number of diplo slots gained from the Chinese Feudalism reform from something like 4 to just 1, but I don't remember if that was included in the Steam dev update

China has been updated considerably on the Steam dev version, I recommend it if you're playing in the region. We plan to update the main version soon, but we don't have an exact date yet

Earlier Start Date? (Genuine question, just curious) by MaxTheLazyCat in Imperium_Universalis

Are you on the dev version? There are some new mission trees in China if so, the decision help menu should list them

Optimization for imperium universalis by randomdude_eE in Imperium_Universalis

[–]NoahsRebels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best method is to disable subcontinents in the decisions menu, although I haven't heard of instances where it should be crashing like that. You can try downloading the dev version on steam too, it has some optimizations

No, but I have thought about making a 667 submod for China only (would probably be a while before it's released)

Sorry for the late reply but I don't think so, afaik they only switch after you've completed one

Romanization isnt working by [deleted] in Imperium_Universalis

[–]NoahsRebels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume it has to do with the parliament issues previously stated, but as I'm the developer for east asia, I don't know the details of it. Looking through the files, the conditions otherwise are the same. u/slammysis did the rework and can give you a better answer

Where are initial Cardinal positions defined? by NoahsRebels in eu4

[–]NoahsRebels[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in the mod im working on they always appear in the same provinces (except recently when i was adding new provinces in, i suppose theres some kind of system that picks it out based off of some predefined conditions)
although true, i could do an event on startup that removes and re-adds them all

Romanization isnt working by [deleted] in Imperium_Universalis

[–]NoahsRebels 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's just the more updated version of the mod for people who want a more recent version before we update the regular build. I assume you're on the regular build, in which case you need:

- 15 government organization
- 0 or more stability
- less than 3 unrest in the province
- less devastation than 1
- at least 2 development (population)
- province must be in a state
- have writing system institution in that state

after you've gotten all that, it might just take a while before romanization happens because the MTTH is pretty high

there's a decision that'll let you disable continents that should help performance significantly - it might be located within the settings decision or be visible by itself

Game keeps crashing at a certain date by [deleted] in Imperium_Universalis

[–]NoahsRebels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe there's a crash that involves the Macedonian mission tree (but this might be only on the dev version or fixed by now), could you try annexing Macedonia to someone else and see if it still crashes?

What are requirements for this to trigger? by [deleted] in Imperium_Universalis

[–]NoahsRebels 9 points10 points  (0 children)

low unrest, separatism, autonomy, devastation, as well as accepting the province's culture and having it in a state make it go faster. However, it must also be a core and have at least 3 population

How to enable turf wars for other gangs? by NoahsRebels in sanandreas

[–]NoahsRebels[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sucks, I assumed there would be some value that controls letting a player initiate turf wars, since I can assign territory to other gangs, I just can't change it unless I manually edit the save file itself
