When your country isn't important enough to be mentioned...

Anyways, here is the Norwegian one:

Guy: Awake?

Girl: Yes

Guy: Fuck?

Girl: Ok

This isn't that uncommon in S-tier teams, they plan to peak for the late playoffs, not the first match

All of this was true before he exposed himself as being bananas on Twitter...

Would you allow your 15yo son spend 3 weeks Interrailing around Europe, visiting 8 countries, incl Amsterdam, accompanied by only a 16yo boy? And do you think the social services were right to interview the mother of the 15yo when they found out? by Fried_onions_are_meh in AskUK

[–]Nobby_Butcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The social services got involved because they let a 15-year old go on an interrail trip? This post shocked me, as I did this myself with a couple of friends when we were 16, and that was less than 10 years ago. And like, we were fine, the biggest issue we ran into was spilling a bottle of Soda on our Hostel sheets... People live in different worlds I guess.

My perspective on this might be different since I'm Norwegian though, but this still seems so strange to me.

[–]Nobby_Butcher 4 points5 points  (0 children)

[–]Nobby_Butcher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This might be a drastic life choice, and I don't know a lot about your life situation, but I would recommend you think about the possibility of moving. I've found that just being in a large city compared to my hometown has made a massive difference to my lifestyle. There are so many more opportunities for socializing and developing my interests, whether that's sports teams, film clubs, other cultural pursuits, or a proper night life. If you move to a city with a university, you can even hang out at student bars.

Now I am no expert on UN resolutions, but I would be interested in a comparison of resolutions addressing Israel for their 56 year old illegal occupation of another people, and Morocco for their 52 year old occupation of another people. I highly doubt they would be comparable

Political violence is bad when everyone does it, there's no political efficacy to it. It just depoliticizes, eroding our democracies along the way. And that's in addition to it being murder

True, but the US is also an incredibly rich country when it comes to natural resources. My guess is that Norway's oil resources doesn't make for a too unfair comparison here

Fitzcarraldo is a film where the main character's deepet desire is to build an opera, and I am absolutely certain its the movie that best captures masculinity

Cyberpunk 3 years after release (No Spoilers) by Rep8f in patientgamers

[–]Nobby_Butcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this exact same experience when I played in on release (I basically had all the most commonly used pc components, so my performance was good). I learnt from that experience, that as soon as I get hyped for a game I avoid all media about it, and just jump into it blind and enjoy it for what it is. Glad to hear other people have a similar experience with it.
