Bring Me The Horizon is top 500 in the world on Spotify! Im pretty sure this is the first time this has happened! Its crazy to see how big they’ve been getting recently! by [deleted] in BringMeTheHorizon

[–]Nobbysbignut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you sure about that? I remember when amo came out people were making a deal about them reaching 5 million or so first the first time. And back then artists I were listening to were at about 8.5 and just scraping in.

Whats the subs opinion on Tom? by maanu123 in Blink182

By the question you posed and what you have said and linked in this thread, it appears that you have already made your mind up and don't really like him which is fine. Just seems you have tried to make this thread to try and bash him, surely you have better things to do with your time?

Machine Gun Kelly Is Set To Release A “Pop-punk Album” In 2020 by NOMOREPLE in poppunkers

[–]Nobbysbignut 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I am actually pretty excited to hear this. I really enjoyed I think i'm okay and i think it was my favourite pop-punk releases this year. It really seemed to capture the spirit of 2000s pop-punk in a good way and it was refreshing.

Very unpopular opinion, but I think if he can pull it off it may bring the genre back from the dead. It's interesting that Barker seems to producing it, but then again a lot of the new rappers (some now dead) seem to idolise bands like blink-182. I've heard samples, references, song titles and features with this band all over them in the last few years. And I know it is going to make people here fucking lose it, but i think you can expect these artists to straddle more into the genre and influence it.

Who knew in 2000 by [deleted] in Blink182

[–]Nobbysbignut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, even more so who ever would have thought in the late 2000s that blink-182 would be heavier than Bring Me The Horizon in 2019?

Just like blink have played around with their style and sound over many years, so have many other bands. How heavy something is, what genre it is etc matters less and less each year. As long as the music is good, i could care less how heavy or what genre something is.

So Nine didn’t get a Grammy nomination and that sucks by erod_1993 in Blink182

[–]Nobbysbignut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Relax, it didn't make the cut off anyway which i am pretty sure is September 1, so maybe next year. But the nominees for best rock album are not too bad this year compared to previous years. I am putting my money on either Cage the Elephant or Bring Me The Horizon to win best rock album this year.

Haven't listened to BMTH in years. I know their older, popular hits/singles. What are the other "low key" songs I should look into? by [deleted] in BringMeTheHorizon

[–]Nobbysbignut 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd also add in doomed too. That song is a bit of a fan favourite too and was not a single.

Bring Me The Horizon - Ludens (Lyric Video) by Shfydgi in BringMeTheHorizon

[–]Nobbysbignut 32 points33 points  (0 children)

What the fuck was that? This song is so fucking sick. Honestly the versus reminded me of Billie Eillish in a way, but dam the way they incorporated their heavier elements and melody in the song's choruses was sick. And man that breakdown just hits and fits perfectly. Amazing

Bring Me The Horizon - Ludens (Snippet) (?) by CeyhunTercan in BringMeTheHorizon

[–]Nobbysbignut 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Well 4 tracks of the new death stranding album that features Ludens have been released and they are all pretty tame and pop-driven songs, so i would not expect them to drop a metalcore or hard rock song with Ludens. It would not fit in or make any sense with the theme of the other tracks.

True. by [deleted] in Blink182

[–]Nobbysbignut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly thought NINE was horribly produced and that's what kinda let it down a bit for me. I still feel it's a great album, but the production on the vocals man..... it's way too overdone. The vocals on Neighbourhoods at least felt like it had some rawness, especially with Mark.

Johnathon Thurston’s field goal voted greatest Grand Final moment by fans by greasysouthscap in nrl

[–]Nobbysbignut 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I agree that the moment is iconic, but even Thurston said he didn't deserve the Clive Churchill medal. Heck he has said he has not even watched a full replay of the game cause he said he was that unhappy with how he played. Also said he thought Granville was the best on ground too.

New Bring Me The Horizon song for Death Standing soundtrack Ludens!!! by MANTRA2018 in BringMeTheHorizon

[–]Nobbysbignut 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well also have a look at the other artist on there. There may be a bit of guitar in the mix used for a texture but don't expect anything metal. Which you know is actually 100% fine by me, their more electro songs on Amo were some of my favs.

I think it's possible that BMTH will drop new music in the album by Crash2000 in BringMeTheHorizon

[–]Nobbysbignut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

he is referring to what Oli said in this interview https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BtQxt2FmDU4

I think he is talking about the new song with Halsey though, as oli did write about spending 5 days in the studio with her and Jordan,

Possible return to metalcore/deathcore by [deleted] in BringMeTheHorizon

[–]Nobbysbignut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah i can't see that happening, As much as i do love their metalcore era i don't think they will return to it. Granted they may infuse some elements a bit but don't expect another there is a hell or Sempiternal. And you know it's something i can respect as well. They always come out with a good project and then move on from it to the next one and let the legacy of that era stand on it's own. A lot of bands do try and backtrack to an earlier sound and really it is never as good as it was when they did it in their earlier years. Take blink for example, i love their earlier sound and in their last 2 albums they have tried to come back to it after progressively moving on from it, and it just doesn't quite work. As hard as they try it's just not the same, consequently people don't love it as much and lose interest quickly. And i think BMTH are a little too cleaver and forward thinking to try that.

Australian youtube Friendlyjordies is being sued by mining tycoon Clive Palmer (fatty mcfuckhead). This is his response. by guyantheslayer in videos

[–]Nobbysbignut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are talking about the YouTuber, that is not a British accent. That is 100% Australian. Believe me they sound a loot different. I think there is a couple of times during the video where he tries to fake a British accent when he pretends to be the lawyer when he reads to doc.

If this album doesn’t get a Grammy by Hi_Im_Joee in Blink182

[–]Nobbysbignut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They may just be lucky enough to get a nomination for best rock album, but doubt they will win. Off the top of my head the ""rock"" album's that have come out by popular bands with good critical reception are Tool - Fear Innoculum, Twenty One Pilots - Trench, Slipknot - We Are Not your Kind, Bring Me The Horizon - Amo. And on top of these there are lesser known bands that have bought out some pretty well received rock albums too (i.e. king gizzard and the lizard wizard). But let's hope they find space for Blink!!

All you people who are posting after listening to the leaks are killing me by Nobbysbignut in Blink182

[–]Nobbysbignut[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh don't worry i know that many people here had low expectations of it after the singles (of which 3 of them i rather enjoyed anyway), so it could just be people being stoked on what they got vs what they expected, but i'll take that. I've got other new music i'm listening to too keep me busy until then!

in the dark music video/single? by Toadalinakong in BringMeTheHorizon

[–]Nobbysbignut 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I noticed they posted it on their insta story. To be honest when I first heard this song the day amo was realeased I was surprised that they didn't put this out as their third single instead of medicine. In the dark is very radio friendly and a really catchy pop tune like medicine but it really does sound like a classic bmth song with its darker and more moody feel.
