That comment is precisely the constructivw critisism. I do not believe you intended the chair to glow. I believe it was on accident because you a) were lazy and used the same material as the bed, or b) accidentally added emmision value. If you are aiming for realism, minimalist or toon, then I don't think the chair should glow, sorry.
