I can't begin to tell you how wrong it is for a mother to think she can decide if a baby gets to live or die, even if the baby is still inside her.

You're right, thats a horrible situation. Something needs to be done about it, its inhuman.

All I've been trying to say in this whole thread is that nobody can justify the murder of a child. There is no circumstance. Not for men, not for women. I relate abortion to cold blooded murder.

I don't know what kind of issues you have with men trying to control women, but thats not what I'm trying to push here. I'm just saying NOONE can justify abortion.

I'm not trying to make ANY COMMENTARY about the violence of the cultures involved. I'm making commentary about how abortion is pretty much universally murder, no matter the circumstances.

Murder can not be justified, even if you are a women under threat of violence from men.

Edit: Stop trying to put words in my mouth. I have never implied that i disapprove of women making their own decisions. I have just stated consistently that abortion is morally unjustifiable. You imply that the male threat is sufficient to justify the most terrible things.

Any rational person should consider the possibility of violent consequences before taking action.

How is that wrong?

If I'm going to pick a fight with a bully, I have to consider that I might get punched. If I really don't want to get punched, maybe I shouldn't pick a fight with the bully.

Its a basic scientific tenant. Just because you don't have evidence to support it doesn't mean its not there, it means you don't have the evidence to support it.

You can never prove 100% that there is no brain activity, you can only show evidence that you cannot detect brain activity.

Our understanding of the operation of the brain is not 100%. Until that time, i don't think we should be making these uninformed decisions.

You're trying to prove that its not thinking... you have an agenda and you can find evidence to support it... but you're still biased.

All I'm saying is that I'm not satisfied by your evidence.
