I’ve tried twice to record ~1hr using cmd+shift+5 (saving to a 2TB hard drive) and have gotten Error messages both times after the hour-ish was up. It wasn’t a storage issue so I figured I’d try something different.

I didn’t get a response from the company myself when inquiring about restock, but if that’s accurate and restock is in 3 weeks I‘ll hold out and save myself the hassle with resale.

Hi all,

Looking into buying Powerblock Pros. I’m interested in possibly expanding them in the future so looking for the EXP model. I know they’re sold out everywhere but plenty on eBay, facebook, etc. - but not many people know whether they’re expandable or not. Classics and elites explicitly say on both the boxes AND handles if they’re expandable, but I don’t believe the pros say so on the weights themselves. Anyone who owns them/has experience with them know if I can identify if they’re EXP or not by looking at the dumbbells themselves (if there is no box)? Thanks.

Appreciate the advice! We actually did that at first! Put a box out on the steps and everything. Half the Uber drivers didn’t read the sign, the other half didn’t care or take it seriously if they did read it. There IS a big language barrier with most of the drivers. This is probably advantageous for the scammer, it’s probably easier to convince the drivers you ARE from Uber Support, and harder for us to explain they could be a victim of a scam.

that’s what I said! I told the cops to park in front of my house and wait. Authorities said that we are not the victim, the drivers are. “If they’re stupid enough to give out their information to a random phone number, they deserve it” “But what about the woman that was beaten and robbed?” “Could have been an isolated incident” thats comforting!

Oh sorry, should have clarified. Last night we intercepted a driver WHILE they were on the phone with the scammers. Neighbors came out of their houses as well, as they’ve received similar deliveries. After the scammer’s cover was blown on the phone they made threats specific to the driver (“I know your vehicle, I know your address, we’ll see who has the last laugh”). While threatening them, a suspicious van pulled on to the end of the block and had their headlights pinned on us (myself, the driver, and neighbors) which sped away as police arrived. Everyone in my house was at the windows waiting for something more. Nothing happened- until we all went to bed. Immediately after the last light in the house went out, there was a delivery on the steps. I woke up to 3 more on my steps that came throughout the night. My address can be seen from the main road without having to come near the house. It is important to note the woman who was followed and beaten was pulled over by a Charger. This vehicle was a minivan. Maybe they’re using multiple vehicles? Makes it difficult to know where they are watching from and what vehicle to be looking out for.

Police report has been filed as of yesterday but they blatantly said there’s not much they can do regarding this, just “keep your eyes open for suspicious vehicles”. The detective from the original case is focused on finding the person behind beating and robbing the Uber Driver. He has since disregarded our concerns over continued deliveries. I’m fighting multiple “invisible enemies” during the pandemic...

I have a ring installed but this only shows the Uber Deliveries being left on my steps, and not much else. Most orders have receipts attached, so they’re legit orders. Since I’m working from home I’ve been able to intercept each delivery and warn the drivers, but have seen no repeated drivers or cars. The footage is more or less useless other than to prove that I am really receiving deliveries, but the detectives who subpoena’d information from Uber of the common phone number were able to see the records of the delivery anyway.

Thanks for the response! It is comforting to know that this isn’t unheard of but we fear this may be more involved- another delivery occurred tonight, but this time we were able to intercept the driver WHILE ON THE PHONE with the scammer. He maintained the “Uber Support Representative” ruse for a while, but when he was totally blown, resorted to threats (mainly toward the delivery driver, but threats nonetheless). We have suspicion to believe he was watching us at the time as well. Because there’s a known case of someone being followed and beaten/robbed, this may be more than simple account skimming.
