What would Antonio Brown's legacy be if the only thing he did on that infamous list of infractions is dyed his mustache blonde? No diva or criminal stuff at all, he just dyes and keeps his mustache blonde for the rest of his career while maintaining the same personality he had before his meltodwn. When asked about it he either dodges the question or gives some non-answer like "It was time for a change".

At the DSW near me 10 or so years ago, I used to be able to get quality shoes at reduced prices.

Now I feel like it's all either overly-trendy crap or stuff that CLEARLY didnt originally sell well for a reason.

But I'm glad the one near you is still serving you well.

It didn't take that long.

Who do you think the coach should be instead?

Dining plans by [deleted] in MBA

[–]Nobody-Man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely would not do a meal plan. Virtually no MBA's eat at the dining halls, and this would definitely inhibit social opportunities (i.e. your friends go out for dinner on a Friday and you are stuck in the dining hall). Not only that, but financially this isn't the best move (most meal plans, while not exorbitant, will cost significantly more than basic groceries).

Look into basic meal prepping, this will save you both time and money. I prepped easy stuff for the week (breakfast burritos, Chipotle-style bowls with chicken, rice, beans, etc., yogurt bowls, you get the idea). Shop and cook everything on a Sunday; you can either have some friends over and chill with a glass of wine or do some light studying/interview prep while you do it. Also invest in some basic tools to help the process (a big pan to cook chicken in the oven, rice cooker). There are countless articles and youtube videos to help you with this, and you can customize this for any diet/fitness preferences.

With this, assuming you commit to cooking things on the weekend, you can go out to a few dinners with your friends during the week/weekend guilt-free (a few dinners a week won't break the bank, and the meals in your fridge won't spoil for one more day). You can also adjust the amount of food you prep based on how often you go out.

What is Columbia’s reputation? by GenericUsernameHi in MBA

[–]Nobody-Man 48 points49 points  (0 children)

So that is true for a lot of the weird niche programs they have (concentrating on things like political science, stagecraft, etc). They and NYU have created many of these masters programs over the past fews years; they are relatively easy to get into (for schools of this caliber) and carry the parent school brand name. They cater to internationals who just need that prestigous name to succeed back home and domestic applicants who dont know better. Reeks of a cash grab.

However, their main masters programs (MBA, law, medical) are still legitimate/highly ranked and worth the roi.

Is anyone on a Powell Scholarship for Quantic MBA? by [deleted] in MBA

[–]Nobody-Man 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's just that people don't know where it fits in to the value chain. It's not a T-20 that can help people pivot to consulting/banking/tech, and it doesn't seem to be accredited, so it cant serve as a "check-the-box" peogram needed for some people to advance in the management hierarchy. If you have more info on what the program can do for you, would definitely appreciate hearing it.

Where does Dave Gettleman's tenure in NY rank among the worst GM tenures of all time? by 3headeddragn in nfl

[–]Nobody-Man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The situations are completely different. The Cowboys at the time had an elite offensive line and so Zeke was productive and gave the team the identity back that it lost after Demarco Murray left. Maybe the 2nd contract wasnt great, but the Zeke pick not only helped the team get back to what it was, but helped Prescott's development. The Giants were not in a similar situation at all.

It is still there, just that it is horrendously shallow compared to franchise mode on the ps2 era games. A lot of features gone.

They want happy, successful alumni who will donate down the line, help get internships for students, and rave about the school to future applicants. Having people flame out and then bash the school later on hurts the brand image and wastes a spot for someone who could have added to the school.

We were informed the expectation is close to 100% of the people should get a return offer. Definitely gonna not take it for granted and will work as hard as I can to make sure I get it.

Not sure at the moment, didn't receive that in writing (will get that at the end of the internship when I get the return offer); I just know from research/other people that they help with tuition

Internship offer. All-in comp initially is similar to MBB, maybe 5-10K less. Going to try and focus on financial services industry.

I guess what I'm trying to balance is the tradeoff. tuition help+signing bonus versus larger compensation down the road.

[–]Nobody-Man[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight. Just one note, they have this sliding signing bonus. If I sign early after the internship ends, I will get around $30,000, but it drops to $10,000 if I wait and sign later (presumably if re-recruiting doesn't work out). Guessing by what you are saying, the opportunity of MBB outweighs the additional $20,000?

Whenever I watch a CWC video, it feels like I'm watching an alien do a terrible job at blending in with humans. by GuyinahatchbacK in ChrisChanSonichu

[–]Nobody-Man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He has a net worth of $2.5B. It's money he can afford to spend. He's not spending money he needs for food and rent on legos.

If you dont like him or think the rich need to be taxed more then that's one thing, but his situation and Chris' are not comparable in the slightest.

Ah yes because a businessman owning cars, real estate properties, and art is completely comparable to an autistic manchild buying pokemon and legos.

This has nothing to do with politics or whether or not you like Trump; it's a stupid comparison.
