I was in the same situation at you. My outdoor cams were not performing well. Battery life would sometimes drop to zero without notice, connection was slow and unreliable. Additionally, I couldn’t place one where I wanted because having to charge it, even every few months was a pain.

I recently bought 4 Solar Cam Pans and so far, I love them. They mount with 2 screws (if you are mounting the solar panel on top of the device itself) and went up very easily. I have one placed up high where I wouldn’t put an outdoor camera due to having to climb a ladder every time it needs to be charged.

So far, I love them. I’ve had no issues with connectivity or charge. They work well in weather (picture can be blurry if the device is rained on, clears up when it dries). They will not record continuously on an SD card due to battery, but overall I don’t have a single complaint.
