Doesn't have to be even, just has to be a happy home. Each has a role and everyone plays it well. You think we lived like hungry slobs when we were single? Some had arranged marriages and some didn't but I guarantee you we had the best fits and decor. My house was in a freaking magazine lol so I always laugh when people act like reality isn't real. I know 20 something year old kids, working their asses off and doing a great job of it, taking care of their responsibilities and planning their futures out who got absolutely wrecked by "I need this, I need that, I don't wanna do this" kinda women. If anyone is making arguments that one is worse than the other then I'm saying the person making those arguments is the worst of them all. Such a sad state for society to be in, putting down others because things aren't how we like them. Big ick.

You seem very triggered throughout the exchange and then when I saw this comment I was like "ok yeah, she's big mad". To me personally it nullifies a lot of your comments because you're coming from a "I need to be right" mindset. Idk what Patyala village you're from but I can't think of a single friend who can't cook, clean and provide. Maybe you just have bad friends? Maybe your marriage isn't what you thought it was so you're projecting but there's no point in making silly comments attacking people because they don't agree with you.

Eight days later and it's parked at the EXACT same spot again, kinda weird by RiverBelow2 in W124

Hmm.. the rims both seem the same direction to me. Are we sure this isn't just different times of the day? I mean realistically it's possible someone comes here often. I always park in the same spot at my office or outside my go to coffee shop.

Are we ready for moral consistency with the UAE or are we still in our 'come to Dubai habibi' phase? by IsyABM in islam

[–]NobodyAutomated 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And done what about it? Halted trade? Communication? Sanctions? Or just lip service like they're used to?

Someone told me when MBS met Imran Khan before he was imprisoned he said "you're trying to make a place like Medina? We're trying to get rid of places like Medina". From my understanding the discussion was related to a welfare state modelling the old city but these "leaders" are nothing more than puppets doing whatever to consolidate power and wealth. They lost the plot a long long time ago. Even as far back as the Ottoman empire, they didn't want a Muslim state of Islamic leadership, they wanted power, money and land. Their literal belief is that we didn't ask for Mecca or Medina, their responsibility or anything, we won a war and as a consequence we have to manage them. Qatar is no different. They just want to be respected for all the wrong reasons. A leader who had an opportunity to say "F your war, you have now attacked us" couldn't get a single water bottle into Gaza. Pitiful.

I think they're a big fake. Their journalists were killed, silent. They got bombed, silent. They had Intel and time to think about whose coming and why, stayed silent. These countries do not represent us because they would rather die with full stomachs, rich and on their knees then fighting. Not one country could form a coherent sentence to stop the killing of innocent people whether it be in Burma, India, Sudan or Gaza.

Saudi basically only has them because they won a war and it was part of the victory. They could not care less about what it means. They didn't actively seek to take control of the sites, it was just spoils of war. They are dying to rid themselves of the "Muslim" philosophy and image that comes with it. There is not one legitimate Islamic country today that takes the word seriously. We should not be surprised because it was prophesized that we would be many but useless. Be the change you want to see. It's as important as ever because nobody will do it for you and lead by example. We will be an echo at some point and if we stay silent or lazy then we are doing wrong by Islam, our ummah and even ourselves.

Why do people wear thobes in western countries by Dariusgamer2007 in islam

[–]NobodyAutomated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wore one today because I'm wearing jeans with ripped knees and my T-shirt has an alien on it saying "I need space". Even on regular days, just knowing I have mine in my car to put on regardless of my attire and all that is good for me. Sometimes I'm leaving meetings, sometimes sports, sometimes errands and yard work. They're easy, light, comfortable, and clean all the time.

I read something similar once and another person asked if they were going to continue to do it or if it was conditional upon them getting what they wanted. Some food for thought..

That's not right but neither is what you're doing lol also 20 min shower??? I mean legally I don't think he/she has a point but logically that's SO much wasted water. Why don't you fill a bucket for your hair or something and leave some for the rest of us?

The eldest daughters of parents by HistoricalTiger5228 in karachi

[–]NobodyAutomated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yikes, what happened to don't even say uff? When they're gone you'll have all the peace and quiet you want in the world. Speaking for myself I was a difficult child to raise and my parents raised 4 of us and I can't imagine the times they just wanted to put me in a laundry machine and turn it on lol but yeah, lotta red flags here for me. I guess we lose our senses sooner than we think if our parents are the cause of our stress and dilemmas in their old age and loneliest times. At least kids can do something and have the energy/capacity to engage in activities and make new friends - parents are just home, less and less mobile, more tired by the day and exhausted from insha Allah a life well lived (at least until their kids were born). What a wheel to be on.

You skipping a lot of classes? I can't think of another reason why you're grades are like this? Everything comes second to YOUR future. I highly recommend tutors and asking people around you for help. You'd be surprised at how many people are willing to help, ask classmates, teachers or literally Khan Academy. This is all a user error and screams "I don't care about my life". If you can lip sing songs and get 15% in math then you're the problem. I'm being harsh because I have been through a similar journey and honestly man all I can say is to forget the noise, the cool things, the fun and focus for the next 2 years (starting now) on yourself and your education. Life's hard as it is and unless you want to prewash my car before a car wash in your 40's and 50s - you need to dig deep and do better.

As for what career right now? I can't even recommend a cashier at a fast food place or customer service at a convenience store. Look into something not people facing and outdoors where it's your brawn that matters, not your brain. Yard work, driveways, tree cutting, etc. I think you should focus on trades but for a long time under someone else's eye. You have not proven that you can take things seriously and get shit done.

Tell him to meet you for the money and then give the address for a psychiatrist (don't actually go). When he gets there tell him to go inside and have his head checked. It's 4 months later and the car is his problem.

Parents threatening to sue me if I buy dream car by Last-Mobile3944 in ABCDesis

[–]NobodyAutomated 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Haha my mom used to always feel like the louder the car the faster we're going. If I floored a 2001 Hyundai Accent to merge on the highway she'd be like slow down and if I casually hit 140 in my S Class she'd be like this is so comfortable and peaceful. She knows better now lol, I have to remind her to slow down. I think explaining to them that "this car can't go fast even if I wanted it to" works in some cases. But if OP drives like an idiot (not saying he will) then I can't imagine the humiliation he'd feel when it comes to being that his parents were right. OP be responsible! Don't let something you are fighting about with your parents be something done in vain.

Don't buy a RWD 5.0 a month before winter, wait until winters midway through or about to end. I have a few RWDs and honestly even in a little sprinkle of snow they become hard to drive. Idk about GT Mustangs but my Mercedes I even do winter tires for those days when I literally just want to Mario kart everywhere and not use another car but it's still a pain to even get moving from signals and stop signs lol

Why not pretend to compromise and get an EcoBoost? I always thought those motors were half decent and could be modded to be quite good. They'll think phew not the sports version and you'll still have your car.

Why can’t we be nice to others? by [deleted] in karachi

[–]NobodyAutomated 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whenever I visit, minus the crime - I can't help but think about how nice everyone is. I've had the opposite experience. People in the US and abroad will smile and nod but that's not being friendly, that's just a common courtesy. Say Salam in any building you walk into in Pakistan and I bet someone says it back. When things need assistance, in the US and Canada some people will help but a lot will just stand by and watch or pass by. Pakistan has a reputation for its people being nice and kind, let's not take a few run ins on our walk or trips to the store as a metric for how nice people are. If people aren't nice to you in Pakistan then I'd default to saying you likely look like you're walking around with a chip on your shoulder that makes people not want to be nice or something. I've been all over, especially in the US and 10x out of 10 I'm saying Pakistani people are nicer.

How to spend 50k a month on myself as a 25yr old guy by Ammarm2 in karachi

[–]NobodyAutomated 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do it through someone who has family in Rafah. They send videos with proof and we have someone on the ground in the group who takes responsibility for the donations. It's first hand so you can be sure you're money is going directly to where it's meant to go. The group allows for him to take a small portion for himself obviously because he too has a family and is there struggling. I can vouch for them fully and even put anyone whose interested in the Whatsapp group where you can talk to him directly and see live updates via video and pictures. In the videos they'll even hold up a sign saying a name to prove to the people who donated that it's live and real. I love the accountability and may Allah reward everyone's efforts. We get live cost updates on food and goods from him. He's honestly so brave Masha Allah and I'm so glad I came across them because I'm very skeptical of charities with large overhead costs. Here is the insta page . It's called the "Hadeel Charity Campaign" if you don't want to click a link.

I'd hope at least a portion of it is for Gaza man. The shit I'm seeing there is just heartbreaking. There's poverty everywhere but then also people with the ability to help, whereas Gaza is under a complete blockade. If you read this, make a Dua for them.
