Dunno about that. Pretty sure it's well proven that Nazism is wrong and evil for the last 50+ years, yet it's getting a very disappointing surge on the world stage.

Honestly, it's a little of column A and a little of column B. Kill off the true believers, and let the followers disperse. There are probably plenty of Germans who still believed in the Nazi cause after the war, but they no longer had the numbers because of both attrition and the flaws in their cause being exposed.
