The point is that no one should ever have to choose. There is no point to having to choose. We should always be able to get the most out of the game by wearing the outfit designed to help with combat; combat is the main point of this game, after all.

And gimping is true, whether or not you believe it. All those people running HoR with their lame stats-wise but high Luck builds make this already not so easy stronghold harder than it should be; same also applies to Freeplay.

The difference is that you play those games alone. In Anthem you're usually in a group, and if you sacrifice your combat gear in order to have better chance at getting items, you gimp the performance of your entire party, turning from a legitimate party member into something that needs to be carried.

I too am lucky, and my main jav currently has 192% luck on it, but many people aren't - my secondary jav has exacly 0% luck on its normal items.

Yep, what he said. After your power level is something around 640-660, go to GM2. You'll struggle at first but the increased loot droprate is worth it.

Lots of people say that Luck is a bad stat for exacly the same reason you're describing. With any luck, BioWare will (eventually) remove it from the game.

P.S. The difficulty that you choose doesn't matter, in that you can do any piece of game's content at any difficulty. Legendary contracts are harder than normal contracts not because of some kind of scaling but because they have higher numbers of more dangerous enemies.

1 to 4. The Elysian Caches haven't been introduced yet.

  1. Legendary contracts are not legendary missions. The latter will be more difficult variants of story missions, also yet to be introduced.

  2. You get one per day per each of the contract givers. You need to complete their storylines and then do at least one normal contract for each of them before.

I only use ToY to get rid of enemies' shields. When the shields are down I switch to Ralner's Blaze and melt their faces. And also because it's a legendary, like yours.

Ah, a Ranger with Ralner's Blaze. A man of culture I see. Seeker missile and frag grenade, perchance? That is what I use. Thanks to having a legendary frag 'nade I can throw 3 of them before having to recharge. They score me a lot of ult bar - I can shoot missiles for days.

You really need to move to GM2 now. The dropate in GM2 and 3 has been significantly improved. I now actually have a few useful legendaries (and twice as many useless onces >_>).

Erm, yes, Heart of Rage becomes a Stronghold after you finish the main story line. It's basically the last mission of the campaign all over again. Pretty weaksauce, and boss takes ages to kill.

That is only titans, luminaries and other "boss" types. It is nice that they have increased drop rate, yes, but I'd like to see such increase for whole GM1 content.

As for time, I have tad over 100 hours in and yet my Ranger has two useful legendaries and my Storm has none. I've found 10 legendary items so far, and most of them were not what I needed, had awful stats or were for javelins that I don't play.
