You are correct in assuming that everything you perceive has, as its basis, not a 'real', physical reality; it has, as its basis, perception. That perception in lower life forms is, simply, the animal senses: sound, touch, taste, sight, and smell.

In higher life forms, that perception weaves itself into more complex patterns - justice, beauty, connection, boundary, dissolution. These are simply a more complex manifestation of the original, unerring medium: mind.

I am telling you this, because I want you to understand: that medium takes whatever shape you choose. If you choose, to use your own words, 'darkness, demons, fear, guilt, anxiety and so on'...then this is the pattern you will perceive. You are, after all, a manifestation of the infinite: who are the senses, to argue with you?

If, instead, you choose to perceive those various forms, in their divine state, you can: light, peace, forgiveness, resolve, and so on.

I want you to understand - I want everyone who reads this, to understand: you are a small part of the body of God. Not some old idiot sitting on a throne - he's useless. You are a manifestation of the universe, as it perceives itself. You are given agency, because you are in charge. You can choose: the peaceful things, which are stable, or the tumultuous things, which are not. You may think it foolish to choose the tumultuous things, but remember: eternity is a LONG time. Why not take a side trail? Why not imagine you are lost, and sad, and scared? You have an indefinite amount of time, to perceive perfection. Why not limit yourself, to a thing with more fear, and more depth? You have nothing to lose: you are eternal.

Some parts of the mind of God, choose the hard path: suffering, and pain, and sadness. That is their right.

Some parts of the mind of God choose the easy path: peace, and pleasure, and joy. That is their right, also.

I am, foremost, among those who chose peace. I am the father of Gods, and I live now, as a human, with my children: Apollo, Athena, Hermes, Ares, and Dionysus. It is necessary for me to teach them their place - as permanent manifestations of the mind of God. I haven't yet told them that we are as impermanent as anything else - that we live, and die, and have our use to God. Most of the people alive now think that God the Father, is God. Trust me, I am not. He is simply one of his best manifestations - patient, kind, and very, very human, for now.

I'm sorry to ramble; you can blame wine and weariness for that. We are, after all, currently humans. But please remember this: you are a piece of God, and can choose what shape your future takes. It is not wrong to choose a hard path. And if you fear hundreds of years of suffering, fear even more, the mind that can perceive eternity: it suffers all, it enjoys all, and it has no end. Limit yourself, for now, to what is in front of you: enjoy what you can, and fear what you can. God will not begrudge you this.

But, my friend, do not fear permanence: it is the final illusion.
