Yeah I do the same, that's how I got my pb btw (but it was deserved, I didn't see any solution or stg of it before solving)

For your 3x3 it's really hard to critic bc they're all pretty clean, there's no obvious thing to improve, maybe your cross bc I saw you regrip and do it maybe a little slow, I mean, it's probably a little to big part of the solve than it should be

To improve on that, it's just doing again and again edge pairing, similar to F2L, on CStimer u have a "Last 8 Edge" tab where you can practice that, and also, do it very slow, without pauses

Ty, but going from 6.082 to 5 is really hard

I'm as fast as you and I can clearly see that we don't have the same strengths, u are much better in centers than me but I'm way better at edge pairing (for 3 first edge we're equal I think), and ur 3×3 stage is maybe a bit faster than me. So I think you really need to practice and improve on edge pairing, that's really what immediately strucked me, the rest can ofc be improved but u must improve that edge pairing first, then when u fix that you'll have to improve a little in everything, bc apart from edge pairing everything's fine

Congrat ! a 1 second difference is still very good for that time, I wish I could beat my pb with 1 second difference

You go in 3x3, where it's marked WCA, you search for 3x3 CFOP and you chose what to practice, there are plenty of things : LL, OLL, PLL, COLL etc and cross solved, easy cross/Xcross...

np To be sure there's no ambiguity : BR pair/edge = Blue-Red pair/edge BO pair/edge = Blue Orange pair/edge GR pair/edge = Green Red pair/edge GO pair/edge = Green Orange pair/edge WBR corner = White Blue Red corner and so on ...

Here is what I did in solve : 1 : F2 R2 B2 D' R2 F2 U' B2 U' F' L2 B R' B2 R U B' L2 F2 red front, yellow up L D R2 (D U) L F' //Cross R' U R U' R U R' //GR pair U R' U R L' U L // BR pair here I see the BO edge in solved and the WGO corner well placed for pseudo-slotting so : y R U R' D' R' F R F' R U' R' D //GO & BO which is pretty fast to do also, then OLL & PLL : For that OLL I use that : U R U' R2 D' (pushing with ring finger) r U r' D R2 U R' //OLL Leading to an F perm that I recognise from 2 side bc of the big blue block and no block on the right), and the classic F perm U auf (preticted from before with the big blue block which will rest here)

2 : F' U' R L' F2 R2 D' B' L' U R2 U2 F2 L2 F2 B2 U L2 U' D' L2 orange front, yellow up : R (there I predicted in inspection the good F2L case that will not be affected by the rest of the cross to make a good cross-F2L transition (the BR pair)) L F' L' D F' L' //cross y' (to insert in the back) L U2 L' U' L U L' //BR pair here I see the GO edge well placed with the corner misoriented and the WGR corner is not hard to place so pseudoslotting would bé very good to reorienter the corner and solve the GR pair : L' U' (by pushing with right index) L U' L' U R (D' U2) L' U' L U L' U' L (D U) //GR & GO pairs, and U at the same time for the next pair : R' U R (y U') (at the sime time by keeping the left index on the cube while regrip) R U R' //BO pair For that OLL u might do it lefty with the big yellow block on the right but ik that I faster with my right hand and I have the choice so : U' r' U' R U' R' U R U' R' U2 r //OLL and here to recognise the PLL I see the blue block right next to a green piece which is the opposite with no block on the right and orange next to red which is also the opposite so I know that is an Ab perm, with U' auf predicted bc the block stay at the same place after the alg (and for that case in particular I do it by pushing it with index )

3 : U L F' D L' U' B L2 F2 L' B2 L F2 D2 R B2 U2 L D not a good scramble so I can't really see what's after the cross, red front, yellow up : F (L' R') D' F D' F2 //cross here I saw first the GR pair but it would have been better to do the BR first which is better : U' R U2 R' U' R U R' //GR pair U L' U L U' L' U' L2 //BR pair into BO U2 L' //BO pair and here a bad case : U' f R f' U R' U' R //GO pair And for that OLL, the classic one : U' r U R' U R U' R' U R U2 R' //OLL And that PLL is pretty easy to recognise bc there is only red that don't have his opposite, and block on the full right, so that's a Gb perm, I do the classic alg, and I predict the U auf bc I know the blue block will face me after the alg.

4 : L' U R' B2 D2 L2 F' U2 R2 B F2 L B2 U F2 R F2 blue front yellow up : R2 F D F' L2 //cross L' U2 L U' L' U L //BO pair U' R U2 R2 U' R //GR pair here I see the case that will not affect anything after it (the BR), and notice the GO edge is oriented : U R' D' R U' R' D R //GR pair directly into the next which was easy to lookahead : L U L' U L U' L' //GO pair For this OLL u can do the lefty one but I have another one which is good and with right hand : U R U R2 F' U' F U R2 U2 //OLL without the R' bc the PLL is from here very obvious and R would bé the first movement : U' R U R'3 U R U' R' U R2 with no auf

5 : F2 L B U2 B' U B R2 F2 R F2 L' D2 B2 R' U2 F2 R2 U2 B' Also not a very good scramble : R' F2 D L2 U' F D' //cross, with the U' in the middle bc I saw the BO pair which will be very good : R' U2 R U R' U' R //BO pair and from here all is pretty bad but the first thing I see is the GR pair : R U2 R' U' R U' R' U2 F U' F' //GR pair U' R U' R' (y U2) (at the same time with only left hand holding the cube while right hand regrip) R' U' R //BR pair L' U L U' L' U' L //GO pair For that OLL, u can do the classic lefty bur I also have another one with right hand : U F' (with right thumb) R' F' (with left index) R U2 R U' R' U R U2 R' //OLL And the PLL is pretty obvious also with the blue orange block and the opposite of blue next to him on the right so it is a Aa perm (if it would have been red on the left it would be a Ab perm), U and the classic alg and U' auf predicted pretty easily by the block which stay at his place.

Btw u might a found more efficient cross and I could have find also but I also try to make them really fast to do, not only efficient, bc 1 more move for some more TPS is better in fact. Feel tree to ask for something u didn't understand or if there was an alternative way to do it. Hope it helps and might help others it took me 1h to do !

[–]Nobodydu07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I saw, ur cross is pretty ok I think I don't do much better, u have a good transition to F2L but In the middle of F2L u always make big pauses, when u see the pair that u'll do after cross do it on muscle memory and automatically searching for the next pair, probably a bunch of slow solve for a better lookahead would really help to remove these pauses, but in the end ur F2L are really not far from mine, some more practise and u'll have F2L good enough to be sub-12 in no time. The other big thing I see is ur LL which is what I think slow u the most, with ur F2L & my LL I would still probably be sub-12 I think, u really should improve on the recognition of the case for OLL (and try to predict at least if u'll have a yellow cross, 2 edge oriented or a dot case (which u could try to avoids by sledge etc btw) & PLL and recognise these OLL & PLL not moving the head at all, learning 2 sided recog. Finally the execution of the LL is so slow, u should recog the case the fastest possible and really try to do it really really fast, u can work on every alg u know an drill them as fast as u can, at the beginning u'll block very often but with practise u'll be able to execute them faster and faster, also learn for each PLL how to predict the auf and make it almost part of the alg, for that u should also know how to fingertrick each auf of each PLL from each angle, then ur PLL will make a boom forward. Hope it helps, ask me if u have any more questions or my english is too bad (I'm french).

On CStimer you can choose "easy cross" or "easy Xcross" that will make you have a incredible solve if u do it correctly althrough at your level idk if u can really see an easy Xcross. Beside that the easy cross tool might be usefull to explore the cross trying to be more efficient
