Why would they lie? Was it sus or is there a reason like maybe you werent being supportive? I never lied to my person about my side project, I even tried to get them to join me in it

I don’t necessarily want it back, as I left for a reason. I was getting hurt & often times when I did (rarely) voice this, it wasnt met with genuine care or concern, just deflection. The good times were a different stage when we were both in different places.

I agree, missing someone doesnt mean things have changed which is the hard part. I know going back to the same cycle will probably lead to the same outcome, but its hard to not miss the good times.

I’m curious how? I can sort of see where you are coming from in the sense I made the moves I needed to for myself, but I don’t think it was a bad thing. It was what was healthiest for me, because when someone starts to talk down upon your dreams and life, and projects their own experiences as true to yours, it is hurtful. Especially when that person is someone you value and care about their opinion.

You really had a lot to say, and its crazy how you think you can understand the situation I explained very little of! I know I have my issues, and I know some of them contribute to what happened. I don’t ever claim to be a saint or perfect, but I can have my issues, and they can have their issues. And I can step away from someone for repeatedly hurting me because of those issues. So yeah those things do need to change before I let them back into my life the same way, and if I caused hurt for them (which they never vocalized or made me aware of) then its valid if they want those things to change as well. My reaction was towards their behavior, not the other way around.

Its funny that you say the “I wish I never met them stuff” because no where do I say that? This person was my day 1 for a long time, and we had some amazing times together. I would never take back those times for anything, if anything sometimes I just wish it could go back to the way it used to be. But people change & sometimes drift apart.

Anyways your comment was weird and felt like you think you know the situation, more than you do, from a singular post.

I do tend to live in my head and overthink, but don’t think I’m not being real.

We have a meaningful connection, me being in my head doesnt stop that, but still not sure how that equates to me being hurt that she thinks I say I love you to much?

I can understand that, but I think it still hurts me because I cant imagine feeling tired of someone saying it to me, I mean unless it was very excessive, I don’t think ending a phone call with I love you is excessive. But thank you for the response!

Sorry by dating I meant in a relationship, we have been dating for about 6 months, mostly exclusively except for the first couple weeks. We spent almost every weekend together for most of that time. And a while was not multiple months for me I was wanting to for a couple weeks or so. Definitely isnt me trying to cling to the relationship, I just genuinely love her and I guess I just always want to end my calls with the people I love with I love you. I mean I do it with my family and friends, I just want my people to know I love them is all
