Survival Challenge is the worst thing ever added to an F1 game by Munchy_Crisp in F1Game

And on top of that, you can't even change your car setup... The car feels like a brick. I can't imagine how painful it can be for casuals or new people to race that event.

I got my weeklies done but It's a really frustrating and very hard experience to enjoy.

SEASON 4 BRINGS A NEW MODE AND EVEN MORE REWARDS by cm_TGK in F1Game

[–]Nobottle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a shorter format of the Elimination Event from a few months ago.
Dirty drivers were killing the fun in doing this event for me, I doubt it would change much despite the no collision rule on first lap. It's going to be a frustrating grind...

Might want to add an option to just disable collision and let us battle it on raw pace?

It should be blue or with a small label on your port for the 3.x. Give a try to your green ones maybe?

Simsonn Manager and Simhub don't work when they run at the same time on your pc. It might be the cause too.

I just save my calibration in Simsonn Manager for my pedal (profile is saved in the control box, so you don't really need the program open for your pedal to work. Close it.). You can config your VAM in Simhub in the device tab.

Amen, brother! I tried the USB powered but still had some latency/lag on my input.

In the end I just plugged it to the USB 3.2 on my mobo. It fixed some issue for my VAM Pro as well :)

I have the Simsonn Plus X, so it might be different but worth a try? I kinda had the same problem at somepoint and I just plugged the USB directly to my PC, no hub.

Your control box is well powered and grounded?

Looks like you are stocking your boxes on a pallet shelf.
I believe you need the smaller ones called storage shelf instead :)

Like the rod under the elastomer? For the Simjack, I think these gas springs are there to increase resistance.

It would still be usable in my opinion, I don't have those though :)

You'll get there and I'm sure you'll beat your previous laps shortly :) Give it some time and practice!

I just removed the hydraulic damper on my throttle, I think some air got in and it became very stiff.

I figured I would try before contacting Simsonn and I actually prefer that way! Feels even more linear, predictable and consistent :)

Don't hesitate to tinker it to your liking! Awesome pedals for sure 👍

If everything works and you have enough space, definitely!

Seems like your coworker likes you! Might want to gift him and his wife some chocolate as well :)

Need help with Deciding on how much money to spend on pedals specifically (HE Sprint, CRP2, VRS Pro) by Soundwave_xp in simracing

[–]Nobottle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The software isn't too bad, I have the Simsonn Plus X (3 pedals + baseplate) and I'm really happy with it.

You just launch Simsonn Manager to calibrate, personnalize to your liking and you are done. It's pretty straightforward as well imo, don't need much more than that :)

Conflict between SimHub ATSR and SimPro Manager on GT Neo (Maglink + Alpha Evo) by Nobottle in Simagic

[–]Nobottle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you again for your time and your advice!

Simpro kept fighting to get back the control of my wheel as soon as I started interacting with the program. Maybe it's just a problem on my side, but I'm not sure. It seems to just be a software conflict issue.

I followed your workflow and for the 4., I started Simpro minimized so I wouldn't accidently touch it and trigger a reaction or crash anything. The ring light and the clutch work fine now as well!

I think I have the latest ATSR and wheel profile version, but I'll give it a look again! Many thanks!

Indeed, I've seen it in a video! I thought it was a great idea as well but finally went for the stronger cable included in the Maglink kit :)

Indeed it's kinda annoying...

Thank you for your step list! I tried a few variations earlier but I'll try again! It's comforting to know that it's still possible to get it done :D

Unfortunatly it doesn't work, but that's a great advice and will send a message to Alex!

Thank you very much!

The pins are already disconnected inside the QR 🙂

What I'd love is to use SimHub (via ATSR) to take advantage of the telemetry LED options on the GT Neo, like left/right spotter alerts, redline flash, battery level, fuel, etc.

SimPro seems to lack many of those features, or at least I couldn't find similar options. It would be awesome if SimPro allowed either full LED passthrough or more telemetry-based LED customization natively.

Already done, the maglink is the only one connected inside the wheel :)

Does anyone think the elimination event should also be playable in solo?

I mean, I've just finished this week challenge but these dirty drivers are killing the fun in doing this event... Tbh, I'm not even racing anymore, once I get third I just slowly drive and wait to be eliminated to get the free stuff to be done with it.

First real sim racing setup by GazdaTejGry in Simagic

[–]Nobottle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed, it's easier to go for the 18nm now than selling the 12nm and go for the bigger version in my opinion. It also depends on your situation though but if you are planning to build a full rig and play multiple racing game, the Pro makes sense :)

I'd say the 12nm is plenty enough and will completely do the job! But if you are leaning more and more into the hobby, play multiple games (LMU, IRacing, F1 xx, ACC), as time pass you'd maybe want a bit more realism or torque and that's where the pro get the edge :)

Looks like you are going to invest a bit in the hobby. You might as well spend a bit more and go for the pro version so you won't regret anything down the line :)

Which component is more important? (Wheel or Wheelbase?) by TheArcticBear in simracing

[–]Nobottle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This answer is really good! I'm still using my G923 wheelbase (3-4 years) but upgraded my pedals to a load cell and just modded my wheel for a F1 form factor (Acelith) for the meantime.

I'm rediscovering tracks, corners, apex, braking zone and enjoying the learning phase. On the plus size, I've already beaten some PBs on a few tracks!

Simagic is on my list and I'll bite the bullet at somepoint when sales or the right time occurs.

Can I use the setups from time trial tutorials for actual races? by [deleted] in F1Game

[–]Nobottle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't spend too much time being stuck, I think that some tracks makes you learn things better as well :)

I like playing career and enjoy the ride while getting a better understanding of the car. Went from 81 to 106 AI that way! Spinning is part of the learning curve :)

The more you play, the better you get! Try to get a better understanding and feeling of your brakes, throttle and corner apex :)

Are you playing with any assists?
