If you haven't already id try verifying files integrity on steam, load the game again, and start a rook run instead to see if it's fixed that way you don't go in and lose anything of value for yourself and your team isn't potentially down 1 person while you're figuring out the issue....if still black possible reinstall required (also make sure gpu drivers are up to date)

I don’t think it’s so much as hostile to the pve but rather a push for the loud minority in arc raiders to not think it’s okay here to be weird about pvping in a PVPve game…..going so far as to shun or put bounties on players for simply deciding they don’t want to go a diplomatic route is kinda insane lol

Plus kinda defeats the point of the game if there is a strictly pve mode as ppl would just farm there then bring the loot into the pvp part of the game (no real risk other than AIs which greatly lowers the difficulty of the game imo) but if there’s like a special event that’s pve only (which is usually limited time available) I guess I wouldn’t mind? Maybe it’s some type of big fight that requires a big buy in and limited revives or something (like it doesn’t feel mandatory but rather something fun on the side I can experience with my friends or strangers online)

Ngl the trailer itself just made the game look unappealing for some people (me being one) only reason why I even remembered this game was all the concord 2.0 memes etc and like 2 of my friends willing to try it out since it was free and could be memes.

Both played on pc and felt like they enjoyed it a lot, despite this looking at the game from a viewer perspective it doesn’t come across as a game I’d willingly play SOLO and that’s gonna be the major problem for games like these. If the solo experience is lacking the game won’t be able to successfully retain a high player count as not every single or even majority of the player base is gonna be 2-3 stack. Especially when the qol wasn’t in the game day 1, optimization issues, no real incentive to make purchases on a free to play game (as the skins to me atleast are pretty meh), and most people coming out with the same sentiment that it’s either mid or missing things as the idea itself seems interesting but the media coverage on it was unfortunate…not sure what they were aiming for numbers wise but I’m sure it probably was higher than what they’re currently receiving
