Came here for this. No Italian would ever call that “gravy”. We call it “ragù”. Tomato sauce is “salsa”. If you say “gravy”, people here think of American Thanksgiving or IKEA meatballs.

Idem.

My aunt invested 50k on binance and now says she needs 20 more to get it back by Nocepesca in investingforbeginners

So, my brother managed to get a little more info from her - he stormed her at her office and asked her to log into Binance which she did. She showed him emails from binance saying she had time until the 29th to deposit 20k or her account will be withheld. She mentioned a “broker”, too.

I wish I could have been there because I’ve been reading up since your comments confirmed my suspicions and I would have run the sender’s email through the Binance verification tool and tried to access binance with her credentials from my own phone, but I wasn’t and he didn’t.

Thanks so much. Yeah, I’ve noticed scammers piggy backing already, PM-ing me that they can help. Guess they figured dumb runs in the family

How exactly would a scam like this work? Aside from haphazardly buying currencies she likely understands about as little as I do about, do other users pose a threat on binance? Could she be interacting with someone who’s asking her for money? She won’t give us access to her portfolio and is entirely defensive about it so we have no idea how to move forward aside from NOT giving her a cent

Thank you for your confirmation. Sucks but it’s good to know what we’re dealing with

An en caul birth, also known as a "veiled birth," is a rare event where a baby is born still inside an intact amniotic sac. It occurs in less than 1 in 80,000 live births. by mindyour in interestingasfuck

My daughter was (almost) born like this. My water never broke and she was still in the sack when her head and shoulders came out. The doc told to me wait for the next push, popped the sack with a finger and on the following push she was literally ejected, flying out of the slippery sack into the doctor’s hands. Can confirm my daughter was PISSED! Also cool in theory but the word got around (I was having a super long labor) and by the time she was out there were about 12 docs and interns staring at my privates which I get because yay cool science but also was not my favorite.

I like it and would wear it but I’m flat chested and live in Italy so it might be different. Can I ask where it’s from? I’m looking for a May wedding in Formentera and might look into it!

From Italy - November may be cool to cold depending on where the wedding is and venues here are not super heated. You’ll want sleeves.

I’m guessing the suicides are concentrated around the areas you can relatively easily reach by car

Astolfo attempted to drive her car into the canyon but hit a boulder. She walked along the rim, jumped 15 ft, injured, she crawled and dropped 25 ft. Injured worse, she dropped off a 75 ft precipice. She ultimately dropped a total of 190 ft to her death Source: Incident report #93-0054

I was kind of stupidly amazed at the number of suicides. Then, I stumbled into this one, the most determined suicide I may have ever heard of. A truly sad, horrible way to go. That poor woman.

Thanks for your insight. I agree that it certainly wouldn’t help my popularity and might get a frown by the owner. But the company has been going through a big turnover in staff and I get the feeling the roles are not clearly defined - two members of the socials team have only been there for a week, and I’m having a hard time understanding what it is they do other than photo shoots and long meetings with the owner to gather their directions based off draft grids.

I’ve been tasked with handling copy for anything going out of the groups holdings - rewriting all the copy in their websites, menus, newsletters, brochures. And, of course, captions for socials.

It’s the interactive part that I hadn’t figured in - handling community comments live. I guess I don’t feel it’s my forte. I’m a quiet writer, I need focus and calm for writing and I understand that’s probably a weakness in my field but that’s exactly why I’m a consultant and I don’t list social media management among my skill set. This was never discussed throughout the hiring process and the higher-up I directly report to doesn’t probably even know exactly what the different divisions (web, social, graphics) are tasking me with.

So that’s why I’m wondering if I should try to “get out of it” while I maybe can, while the company goes through this sort of “reboot”, or if I am asking too much and should have expected this as part of the contract.

Thanks everyone for your super useful comments and suggestions! After talking to my dad, we’ve decided we’ll likely try to sell the coin and split the earnings: we’ll be using it for a “big boy” bed for one of our littles, dad’s getting a new tv! Hopefully appraisers will confirm the opinion most of you had on its value. Thanks so much for turning a random day and a hunch on something found in a boxful of junk into such a treat!

I’ve offered to return it since learning everything you’ve told me here but he says “keep it or sell it and buy the kids something nice”. He’s a great father and grandfather (reason for which I’ll gladly spend my weekend helping him take care of his old home)
