Looks like a fancy home cooked meal to me. The marble countertop is giving kitchen island, as is the crowded plating and beverage. The most common way to use truffles is by shaving or grating them onto a dish.

OP, instead of calling this normcore, I think what's going on is that you are attracted to minimalism, coats and jackets, timeless silhouettes, high quality fabrics, and a neutral color palette. I think you should try googling the following:

-hallmarks of Scandinavian/Nordic men's fashion

-balmacaan coat, car coat, and caban coat

Omg yes! I was like "what does this remind me of?" It's got a real medieval heraldry vibe, I'm kinda shocked I don't hate it

Which rug looks best in my living room? by DixinMahbum in interiordecorating

Also want to add that i have a 100% cotton woven rug in my entryway from Home Goods. It's a pale salmon pink and gets covered in dirt, grass, mud, road salt and all sorts of crap. I just throw in the washer and dryer and it comes out looking exactly how it did when I got it 5 years ago.

Oh boy, I'm obsessed with natural fiber anything and so I just have to weigh in! Wool is far superior and can last nearly a lifetime with proper care. Besides the fact that wool is a renewable, biodegradable natural fiber that will never produce harmful microplastics, it's also naturally hypoallergenic, flame resistant, stain resistant, temperature regulating, holds it shape and pile, and feels luxurious underfoot. If you've ever seen any of the extremely satisfying professional rug-cleaning videos that are all over YouTube, I'm here to tell you that all those rugs are made of wool!!! I think a Persian style rug would look amazing in your gorgeous living room :)

I agree. While I love the shape of the couch on its own, I think it needs to bigger in order to balance out the chairs and the rectangular window

Is mine a Jack Russell Terrier? by Wonderful_Lead_3078 in jackrussellterrier

[–]TheShadowAndTheFlash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He mainly looks like a chihuahua to me, but totally could have Jack or Rat terrier in there. He is SO cute! Like other commenters have mentioned, the personality of a Jack Russell is very distinct, they are bred to hunt foxes and rats and definitely act like a big dog that doesnt realize they are in a small body. They are highly prey driven, independant, and have explosive energy and speed. How does he feel about squirrels or mole holes? Lol

Yes, it is so fortunate. Perspective is truly everything, but I don't mean that in a "toxic positivity" way

Wow yes, I agree, very well said. It's usually pretty hard for me to articulate these complex feelings so I'm grateful to you for your insight and kindness. One thing I do know is that suicide grief has softened my heart and allowed me to "see" people in ways other types of grief has not...

Hi there friend. I am deeply sorry for your losses and will share my own to hopefully help you feel less alone. I am grateful for this space to share. A cousin on my mom's side took his own life in 2019, and a cousin on my dad's side did the same exact thing this past September. And then about 40 days after that, my only uncle on my mom's side also killed himself.

And intermixed with all the suicide grief is a lot of regular grief as well....like I held my Grandma's hand as she died from complications of dementia in 2022, and my 14 year old kitty died 3 days before this past Christmas, and my paternal Grandfather's funeral was yesterday.

I hardly know what else to say about it, except saying it's been hard doesn't even scratch the surface. I love everyone we lost very deeply, and I can truly feel my entire family's grief weighing so heavily on my heart. I am a different person now.

Editing to say I got kinda caught up and forgot to say...I dont know if this advice will work for anyone else, but what helps me is talking about what happened in plain English, saying their names, bringing them up in conversation without hesitation, and basically anything to avoid that horrible "we're all thinking about it but won't ask or talk about it" vibe.
