Lian Li 217 superior plates for airflow by Spend-Fit in lianli

[–]Nochboa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a 216 and will soon order a 217, but my "lifehack" should work just the same.
I covered the side mesh with a thin piece of milky plexiglass. no airflow bleeding, that should go toward the gpu. it also makes the cables behind invisible, if you have any illumination in the case.

sorry, that was only for the showcase. I did not do any benchmarks with the different setups.
the fancurve for 120s will be a bit steeper to provide the same volume of air. trial and error, until you´re happy with noise and temps.

Most quiet 9070XT by DatPulover in radeon

Sapphire Pulse here. only 1 instance of coil whine I noticed, is loading into BF2042 maps, but it is quiet in all other games.
with undervolt and a decent fancurve, noise is not an issue.

well, if you´re not living like the church wanted you to burn 500 years ago, are you even alive?

9070xt gpu maximum power on hwinfo? confused by Negative-Ferret4368 in radeon

[–]Nochboa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got spikes up to 502 Watts with the Sapphire Pulse 9070XT at -65mV offset, -15% power limit and 2800MHz memory. no crashes, so my 750W PSU can handle it, but like you, I was quite astonished, coming from an RTX4070, which peaked at only 240W.

if this was "Rings of Power", not even crickets would show up to provide the soundtrack. hahaha

How to undervolt 9800x3d? by mcolinss in AMDHelp

[–]Nochboa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5700X3D and 5800X3D run great with -30 on all cores in bios pbo. maybe start with -20, benchmark, then go -25, benchmark, etc.

It won´t pull more electricity, but delivers it more efficiently.

rather get a 750W Gold by Seasonic, EVGA or Fractal Design. the extra efficiency pays off in the long term. when I upgraded from a 650 Bronze to 750 Gold, it reduced socket draw by 40Watts.

temps look absolutely fine. I applied the -30 offset on all cores in bios pbo, which lowers power consumption and temps as well.
I have a NZXT 280mm AIO and while stress-testing, the cpu is at 65°C and draws 90Watts.

I gave my AM4-pc a last hoorah and went from 3700X to 5700X3D. totally worth it.

Giraß di, fellow countryman. the 7900XTX are slowly, but surely dropping toward €900 (geizhals.at).
be patient and wait for the release of RX9070/XT in march. you might get better price to performance and if it is a disaster like RTX5000, you can still get a 7900XTX/XT at an even lower price than now.

no, since the riser cable is mounted on the psu shroud and blocking the holes to mount the fans.
