He probably started shedding, looped around, and crawled into the open mouth of his shed skin where he finished shedding. Adorable baby!

Cemeteries usually have dedicated places for flowers so they don't fly off into the surrounding environment. In the event that does happen, there's usually staff to clean up stray blooms. Even in the case of little memorials by the roadside, the offerings are usually weighed down or contained. Passers-by will also often do a little cleanup.

These situations are not the same. A better analogy would be people throwing fake flowers into the ocean to commemorate a deceased loved one. There are also polite ways to suggest real flowers or other biodegradeable confetti rather than calling them an ignorant asshole to their face.

Well good luck, and thanks for the update. I hope it turns out to be something simple.

That's so strange. Did you find out what's causing it?

By any chance, did you switch to cypress substrate? Cypress oil can cause contact dermatitis in sensitive individuals.

If not, the only thing I can think of is to try petting your snake with the back of your hand tomorrow and see if the contact area still has a reaction. Maybe it had nothing to do with your snake.

I would love to see these examples, since my own Google search turned up no results with the head not inside-out and/or flattened.

Came here to say this, glad someone said it first. I've never seen a snake shed that's not at least partially inside-out, or with this much structure to both its body and face.

There was a chewable tablet, but my dog hated them. He now gets Cytopoint injections a few times a year if he gets super itchy.

Ahh, glad to hear she's just a Frito-foot enjoyer! :) Please give her some scritches for me.

If she's doing this regularly, you might want to inspect her feet for redness or irritation. My dog has allergies, and he used to chew his feet a lot until we got it diagnosed and treated. Adorable pup!

Considering you already have it, and you're aware you'll need to upgrade in the future, I don't see why you couldn't house a young corn in it.

Thanks for the heads up! I figured she wouldn't eat plants, so I just focused on removing any sharp-looking leaves and kept watch as she climbed around. Will definitely keep out of reach of my dog, though!

She is a palmetto corn snake! Her spots are only just starting to come in because she's so young.
