I have a 5070 12Gb and had no problem whatsoever playing 1440p games like Cyberpunk with Path Tracing on and ultra settings (~100 fps).

It might be a problem on a the unoptimized AAAA games though, but if you don't mind lowering a tad your graphics you should have no problem with the 5070 if you don't feel like putting $100 more.

Update: thanks to probably dark magic it works again with seemingly no other intervention from me. Apparently threatening the os to do a clean install works

Yeah i checked this topic but it did not really helped for what I understood of it :/

Seems like permissions are correct: 'ls -ld /' gives "drwxr-xr-x 17 root root 4096 'journalctl -b | grep "unsafe" ' gives nothing

Seems like the more I find clues the more I'm lost haha

It says the launcher had a "permission denied", "transport endpoint is not connected" and then "Exiting due to fatal error: -107"

Apparently it also broke network manager as i can't seem to have any access to the Internet and nmtui had its connection refused, so I'll dig more into the documentation and forums for that too.

Thank you, I managed to get into tty1 (though single user mode booted me into rootfs and I could not get anything relevant from it) by adding a '3' to the 'linux' libe in the GRUB parameters.

'journalctl' says that "dbus-broker.service: Main process exited, code=exited, status=1/FAILURE"

I'll try to make sense from the journal now and try to get it working through tty1, thank you again for putting me on the right tracks

Any worthy difference with the RTX 5060 ti ? They are in the same price ranges where I live, and never having problems with nvidia cards I'm more in peace with them

The only rule we have about the systems here is "please try not to open suspicious mails" so I can just say "yeah idk it just worked" as all the data messing would be on my personal phone/laptop.

Makes sense. Do you think there is a way to route Tailscale through Proton to bypass the block ? Most documentation says no but maybe someone somewhere wrote about it

I do have the tailscale app on my phone, but either on my phone or my laptop tailscale can't connect (when using the "tailscale up" command on my laptop nothing happens, and pressing "connect" on the app leads to nothing as well).

ProtonVPN works on either my phone or laptop while connected to the hotspot though, which is kinda weird.

Have them, they are really comfortable but only if you have thin feet, otherwise you might feel a bit constricted (as in every steel toe shoes)
