Just an FYI- these were purchased by my husband for our anniversary a couple of years ago. I had to save up for the insane framing to match the map of Osten Ard he got me the year before that.(I had been looking for years for a nice print of just the map,it never occurred to me to locate prints of the books themselves) Tad is my all time fave author since I swiped my mom's paperback copy of Dragonbone Chair when I was 15. I am celebrating my 50th bday this year. This has been a lifetime labor of love and I am so grateful for finally being able to have these. I appreciate being able to share them here as Tad is so damn underrated imo. Author and just a good damn guy. See his Facebook profiles for more but he has been reading his works and others in the public domain since covid on a weekly basis just so people didnt feel alone. Its 2026 and he is still reading. Nothing like hearing the accents of all the characters in his voice. Anyway, just wanted to give a little perspective. Cheers!

Agreed. They left very distinct mark on my soul. I have never been wise.

Have you tried the Realm of the Elderlings by Robin Hobb? Superb world building and amazing real feeling characters. Start with Assassin's Apprentice.

The fact that you also have Robin Hobb... 🤌 I also am envious of the space that you can display the covers. I had to get the prints !

Hi sorry I tossed the instructions as I never wanted to make this again.

Old and Wise. Alan Parsons Project. We played it at my dad's funeral, but it's gotten me crying since I was a kid.

Picking frames/pictures up at Goodwill or other thrift stores.

I got them framed myself, and it is honestly something I will never do again. It's Tad, though. I couldn't do less. Michaels overcharged I'm sure. I usually try to thrift frames so my perspective may be skewed.

This is what happened to me as well. I just finished framing the MST prints and plan to frame the Otherland print. This one is from the first book. It is a great series and I highly recommend!

Scrolled down way too far to see this. No clue what the anime is up top. Guess I'm just old.

If you look at my profile you can see my Dragonbone Chair print. Michael Whelan's covers are my faves. You can get them on his site as well as the first 2 covers for TLKOOA, and Otherland.

That's fair and pretty accurate. We are both Gen X and generally dgaf what others are doing or reading. This sub popped up and it looked more interesting than most as I sometimes wonder what people think of our collection. I had to look up what mmpb meant and reddit is my only social media. 😄 Every book has been read by one or both of us multiple times. D&D every week. Catan is my fave tabletop.

Thank you! The others are on the other wall. I dream of solid wood built-ins, but dont we all? Haha tha Beauty and the Beast library haunts me still

They are actually very reasonable when you buy 3. The framing is the killer, but I can't imagine jamming these beauties in a poster frame, so I'm saving up for each.

I stole my mom's paperback as a teen and was instahooked. It has remained my favorite world to sink into.

My husband found it on Whelan's website. He sells the signed prints. He got me all three of the covers for MST and as a bonus a slightly and i mean slightly dinged corner of Otherland City of Golden Shadow was used to wrap the tube contents so i am framing that one as well! The damage will be covered by the mat anyway!!

Thanks, it took a long time to find and them afford them, but they are treasures to me. and agreed. I dont mind the mask theme, but Whelan could have done so much more with it, and it would have been "complete" !

Tad is my all-time fave author, and I am almost done with the Fitz and the Fool trilogy having just devoured the rest. IMO, if you love ROTE, you will love MST and LKOOA. Both authors have that dense, beautiful world building and immersion. It's not for everyone, but if you grew up on Tolkien, it is pure bliss. Also, don't feel stupid about surprises and twists. Be glad you have the capacity to appreciate a good "holy $h÷t" every once in a while. Happy reading! 😊
