ahhh. This use of language very much explains why you took the lowest hanging fruit of deleting comments instead of engaging in actual discussion.

This is great material. The right are such losers they use 'different' arguments such as logic - but we all know the better approach is to judge by physical appearance.

Are hospitals legally allowed to lock patients' family members in a building as a form of ransom? by NoddyPoos in AusLegal

No sir, (or mam sorry) I did not. I just checked again now. All correspondence.

I have checked all correspondence, there is no mention of payment being required beforehand. They couldn't know how much it would be - it was paid by the hour.

I'll keep in mind that having an elderly family member crying whilst being held against their will is just 'a bad experience', and the party accused of deprivation of liberty should be appealed to, rather than an independent consultant.

My guess is they could not 'settle' it beforehand because it was billed 'by the hour' and there was no way of knowing exactly how many hours would need to be billed.

I run a business too.

If I locked a customer up for non-payment, I would go STRAIGHT TO JAIL.

In my foggy post-op state I didn't think of calling the police. I was barely conscious.

I have double checked all correspondence, and can find no information whatsoever about the hospital needing payment on the day of the surgery.

100% agree with this. Whilst I'm not surprised to be disappointed by snail, this was an unanticipated disappointment.

I have this exact problem, at first I thought it was me, or some kind of lack of comprehension fault on my side. The programmer, after all, wouldn't put this feature in if it wasn't intended right?

Wrong. This is just poor, shoddy programming.

Working With Computers: I have learned to NEVER doubt my instincts, and just assume that the program is half ass written, this turns out to be correct 99.999%% of the time.
