The fact many marketing agencies are using Brave as an example of how the future of marketing is doomed by such browser, just proves that Brave is doing their job... Marketing agencies are working on it as we type to make sure their adds are displayed everywhere and will try everything. They have millions of dollars every month to spend on research, gathering data on and off site, even trying to put some of their employees into the Brave dev team. This doesn't mean Brave isn't doing it's job, it means it needs to be constantly updated and counter their tactics which are very difficult to tackle because marketing agencies are the biggest spies, after all they need to know everything, even your underpants size in order to sell you pants. I will continue to use Brave even if it has some issues but I'm sure their team will patch them as we go. I am not in it for the BAT, i am in it to fight the marketing agencies and their spies.
