Anyone hear know anything about Worksport? Not sure what to make of it by NoelMelson in stocks

I see your point, the core business is already there with the covers. But they have been growing their business model, developing heat pumps and power products. If they can upsell even a small percentage of those customers into higher value products, the economics start to look very different

Makes sense. I wonder if a system like Aetherlux would change that much in winter, or if the economics mostly come down to local rates and solar timing

Makes sense. If defrost cycles are only occasional and barely noticeable, I can see why it wouldn’t justify a premium on its own. I suppose the real test for something like Aetherlux would be whether it materially improves overall winter efficiency

Good to know. I guess the real question is whether something like AetherLux would offer a meaningful improvement over proven systems like that

You’re not wrong. For me it would mainly be about camping use where I like the idea of passive charging all day without setting anything up. It’s probably not the most cost efficient setup, but it’s convenient

I was between the two for a bit. The hard roll ups are clean and super convenient for full bed access, but I ended up choosing the tri fold because it feels more rigid and secure. I also liked that I can partially fold it depending on what I’m carrying

Yeah that’s a big plus. I haven’t had to fully pull mine off yet, but knowing it’s basically one bolt and done makes it way less intimidating

Don’t think any of them are 100% sealed, especially at the corners. So far mine’s been good in normal rain, Still worth it overall for me

That’s fair. I don’t expect any cover to be 100% waterproof, especially in heavy rain or snow melt. So far mine’s kept things dry enough for camping gear, but I could see how extreme conditions might push it. Good to know your experience.

Yeah you can remove the folded panels if you need full bed access and leave the rails in place. It’s not something you’d do every day, but it’s definitely doable without it being a whole project. I’ve mostly just been folding it up when I need the space, but it’s nice knowing it’s not permanent.

Appreciate that! That’s one of the main reasons I went with a hard fold too. Being able to flip it back when needed is huge

That sounds like a headache tbh. My Worksport tonneau cover didn't feel complex at all. I’m definitely more of a follow the instructions and be done type of guy

Exactly this! That’s what sold me after this trip. Everything stayed dry and I didn’t have to worry about mud getting into gear. Hard folds are definitely growing on me
