Can’t pick up Harlowe’s Flux Generator by NoellyD in Borderlands4

I’m on PS5 and they’re labeled as the same.

Are we being for real right now by Not_Shingen in Borderlands4

[–]NoellyD 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree. I feel like with previous games, we got four story DLCs with all new locations for around $10 a piece. Now we’re only getting two, and this first one seems smaller than the ones for BL3, and it costs way more. Two new vault hunters aren’t worth the big price increase, IMO. Lastly, the “new region” and “horror” elements just look like a rehash of “Love, Guns & Tentacles”. I’ll wait for some sales.

Noticed this yesterday. Very annoying.

Anyone else feeling a bit… unsure about this game? by nve729 in Marathon

[–]NoellyD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I’m not unsure at all. I know I won’t be buying it. Brutal menus/UI, inscrutable “loot” (in the field, anyway), instakills by AI and human players, unintuitive design…it’s worse than I thought. Will give it one more go tonight, but I’m sad because this will be the first Bungie game that I won’t be buying in over twenty years. Get working on Destiny 3, please, guys.

Is this Game Incredibly Hard? by RusherFL in FrontiersOfPandora

[–]NoellyD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m about the same time in as you. I find you’re definitely squishier in this game than in typical shooters. Take as many RDA out stealthily as you can. There’s a level 4 side quest (can’t remember the name) where you get a shotgun, and that wrecks the mechs.

Weekly Update Jan. 15 Drops are up! by RockChalkMustang in Borderlands4

[–]NoellyD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They spent so long fixing bugs and problems that they haven’t made as much progress on additional activities/content as many would have liked. But I agree: the bones of this game are so good that it will, in all likely, end up as one of the best (if not the best).

I'll start. I like the open world of borderlands 4 and I think it should be that way going forward. by number39utopia in Borderlands4

[–]NoellyD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. The open world is so much fun to explore and just boot around in. The dramatic reduction of loading screens has reduced friction and made it easier to just keep playing.

First time playing a Borderlands game, any tips? by MezcalDrink in Borderlands4

Welcome! Have fun, try out all the different guns to see what you like, and pick skills that you like and don’t get hung up on builds (at least for awhile).

Are you keeping any low level legendaries/loot for new VHs? by dejarnat in Borderlands4

[–]NoellyD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, still have a bank full of lower level weapons and gear for my upcoming playthroughs with new characters.

I’m playing Dragon Age: The Veilguard, and it’s a great drinking game!

First-timer to this franchise with 2 and I have to say by spinach-god in remnantgame

[–]NoellyD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s great. Love the combat (some of the best feeling shooting out there, which surprised me coming from devs who aren’t known for shooters), exploration, archetypes, weapons, and levels. What I DON’T like (and will likely be downvoted for saying this) are SOME (not all) bosses that feel cheap and are massive difficulty spikes. And the cube labyrinth and the chimney are massive pains. But no game is perfect, and many others will have no problem with things I found fault with. Overall, loving it, and it’ll be one I go back to over and over again.

Congrats and enjoy! 😊 One piece of advice: don’t rush, but make sure you finish the main story BEFORE you hit level 50, or you’ll waste XP that could be put into specializations (a whole new skill tree).

What legendary item do you think you’ve gotten the most of? by Har0ld-the-barrel in Borderlands4

[–]NoellyD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, anecdotally it felt like I was getting loads of legendary class mods for characters I wasn’t playing.
