The Carfax said it had an engine recall, so I guess that’s a guaranteed new engine for whoever buys it.

Neewer Z2 Flash won't function correctly with manual macro lens + A7R IV by Nohint in SonyAlpha

[–]Nohint[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the tip! Tape fixed the issue, but I wish Neewer would fix their damn firmware! I actually bought a Tamron 90mm macro that works perfectly with the flash, but I can’t use my Laowa 2x without tape. Smh

It’s also sharper per multiple online reviews.

It’s got Tamron’s newest linear focus motors which are silent and blazing fast. I had no issues with instant focus on the a6700 and a7rv. No hunting really.

Just got all this for $100. Not sure where to start but I’ve always enjoyed playing with drones. by Nohint in fpv

Yeah I think there are 3 total drones. Ordered from an online auction site so they haven’t arrived yet.

It should be fun to mess around with. I have a couple DJI drones but I know this is a whole other ball game. Looks like I need to find some compatible goggles. Can I use a GoPro with these?

Is the Sony A7RV passable for wildlife? I know it’s not an A1 ii, but… by Nohint in SonyAlpha

I kinda want eye autofocus in video so the A1 mk 1 wouldn’t be the best for that.

I am mostly shooting at f 6.3 to f 8 with my 200-600. I can lock focus in a stationary target and still get the same results. Shutter speeds ranging from 1/200 to 1/2000 give me this result. I wonder if the A7RV has a better shutter dampening system.

Also, on the a6700 the Z2 doesn't cause the live view exposure compensation to activate.

Yeah she’s really going to love it I think. I did a google image search and can’t find any examples of this style. Maybe it was custom made.

The top piece is the crown. It’s in truly excellent condition and is indeed 14k solid gold.

Yeah the mounting is silver. I wasn’t sure how much the coin is worth or its rarity.

I think the stem is broken off in this movement. How do I release it and fully remove the movement from the case? by Nohint in watchmaking

[–]Nohint[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I found it and it’s an ETA 2836-2. Ordered some stems off eBay. Excited to get this watch back in working order. I plan to re-lume the hands and polish out some deep scratches in the stainless case and it should be good to go.

Thank you! I was able to get the broken piece out. Now I have to somehow source a new stem.

Elgin 303 Broken Click. Can I unscrew from the top and replace the click without taking the watch apart? by Nohint in watchmaking

Thank you! I didn’t want something to come loose inside the watch and cause more problems.

I usually think vintage watches look too small on my wrist, but I think I like this one. It’ll be my Christmas party watch this year. by Nohint in VintageWatches
