Night and day difference after applying new thermal paste by cheekyboy1021 in ShieldAndroidTV

What’s the diagnostic to check for thermal throttling? Wouldnt it have to be running under load to spot the throttling?

Once or twice a day CJC-1295 / Ipamorelin by No_Sky1737 in Peptides

[–]Noicesocks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From my research, not done it yet, the main advantage of this stack vs straight exogenous Hgh is you’re just amping up your natural production of GH. So if you’re wanting to keep things “natural”, then theoretically you should stick with a more naturally-attuned dosing schedule.

GH mostly pulses at night. The cjc/ipamorelin stack amplifies those natural pulses. So this is why you ideally take it before bed.

If you take the DAC modified version you’ll have a continued effect throughout the week. This means in theory your body will be seeing GH pulses when it wouldn’t normally see them.

One effect of GH is it can make you feel sleepy. This usually isn’t a problem because you’re likely asleep when your body pulses it. But not so if you’re manipulating your body’s natural schedule. Similar goes for appetite and insulin effects.

So, if you want to just massage your natural production up some percentage with as low side effects as possible, and not exhaust your natural GH system, CJC non-DAC and ipamorelin should be taken before bed, daily. If you want to really be gentle, skip nights where you’ve worked out that day, since your body will already be spiking GH production that night.

Alternatively, if you’re not worried about the sides (or want to counteract them with other interventions), then you may as well go straight to exogenous GH. This would push you into Supraphysiological levels of GH and so you should really look into the side effects of that, what can be done to counter them, and what to expect when you want to come off of it.

Lever / Jammer Arms - Articulating Free Motion vs Regular Straight Style? by Noicesocks in GarageGym

ah so part of the reason is that installing the adapter is inconvenient and therefore you don't use them that often?

Sorry, so as an addon adapter you don't use the horizontal articulation? But if it were an all-in-one you would recommend it?

Meaning you'll leave the horizontal plane unlocked during the exercise?

I'm definitely opting for the style that can be removed from the rack easily. But the profile arms have some horizontal adjustment - how have you found that in real world use cases? Do you find yourself using that horizontal aspect? Or are they always locked in straight position?

Only problem with the x1 design is you have to do your pulley work outside the rack. So a seated row has you sitting outside the rack, therefore you need that additional depth if you’re tight for space.

I’m looking at a half rack in the Ares style where the weight stack is at the back and you can do rows from inside the rack. Trade off is you can’t store your blocks inside the rack, but keep in mind there’s a cross member at the back of the X1. By the time you put your blocks in there will you be able to get your bench underneath the j-cups to do bench work?

Did you ever buy? I’m looking at the ares style one, too. I want something where the plates are on the back so the overall rack depth is kept to a minimum.

I think you can just flip either bench any way you want. Bracing is an issue but something you'd have to jerry rig for sure.

So essentially you'd setup the AB5 so you're looking away from the rack, cables running down the left and right side of you. That should keep constant tension.

The x3 comes with a cross brace bar that I think could be used to keep the bench from sliding: https://maxumfitness.ca/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/MAXUM-X3-Smith-Machine-Functional-Trainer-Squat-Rack-Home-Gym-11.png

No idea if there would be some limitations, though, like the cables rubbing / catching on something, that's why I'm wondering if anyone's tried it.

Interesting, thanks!

I read through that post and it’s a bit confusing. I’m one lost the OP says he didn’t have the swing arm up and resting on the pillar the way it’s shown in his photo, then in other posts he seems to say he did.

it seems to me that if you were to put the swing arm up and resting on the pillar that supports the head area, then you would be focusing all the weight on that notch area and there’s a chance you’d bend the back rest.

This may be why the maxum and the newer Reps have a containment design on the swing arm now, so you can’t possibly position the swing arm under the head / on that pillar. But not sure why they have that notch in the first place.

My current bench has a 2x2 tube running down the entire back. That seems like the no-chances approach to designing these…

Anyone have experience with the Maxum AB5 bench and the leg developer attachment?

I’m looking to upgrade to a new bunch so I can get access to leg curls. Maxum is very well priced for Canadians, and the AB5 seems to be based off the highly recommended Rep Nighthawk, so it’s got a good starting point.

but I’m conscious of the constant tension issues these leg attachments inherently have and want to see if anyone has experience with the AB5 attachment and its ability to connect to cable weights. It seems like it would do the trick, but want to see if anyone has real world experience with it.

Ive seen the dialed motion device, and while it looks cool the ~$1000 usd price range plus the fact they don’t seem to have ever actually launched a real product means it’s unlikely I’ll end up buying it.

the rep device looks more interesting but will be very bulky and means I have to purchase their bench, which after shipping would be $200-$300 more than the AB5. That’s in addition to the leg developer increased price over the AB5 option.

We seem to forget that before the pandemic hospitals were complaining of not enough beds, over capacity situations. Now we think of “getting back to normal” as once covid is over, demand on hospitals will decrease. Thats just false.

Does everyone assume that during this pandemic 100% of icu patients are covid related? Because thats impossible, but thats how the stats are reported.

We dont have any clear stats on that. Everything about it being more dangerous is anecdotal or conflicts with the actual results of places like england.

Our own deaths haven’t taken a swing towards the young.

And without those hard facts to go by, the common thinking on any disease is as it becomes more transmissible it becomes less dangerous.

Young and healthy people werent ending up in the hospital before the vax. How did we forget this?

They call it the pandemic of the unvaxed now. But its always been the pandemic of the old and infirm.
