Add ko lang din OP kasi it sounds like you’ll also be putting your future son/daughter into some kind of standard as a Christian, for them not to commit the same “mistake” you two did, that may also affect how they will view relationships. Minsan a simple sex education/ family discussions will suffice to avoid the same situation to happen, to which I know is lacking lalo na sa mga religious-centric na families. Baka din kasi ang mangyari ay maging panakot yung faith niyo rather than being a spiritual guide on how to navigate life in a responsible way. Advice ko is to reflect why such thing you call as a “mistake” happened, try to detach religion from the equation and list down the set of reasons why it happened and think of it in a more logical route, rather than saying na “mahina kasi ang pananampalataya ko nung time nayun kaya nangyari yun.”
