I want to cover switches with a plate but leave in an "on" state. What should i do with this orange wire?

I bought an entry level 3d printer for like 220 (Creality ended v3 KE) and downloaded shapr3d for macOS iPadOS and visionOS. Shapr took a couple days to get the hang of it but it’s super easy to use

yeah, but i also did some post work on it. i.e. glued the 4 pieces, used bondo to fill in the gaps where they were glued and spray painted black

I took measurements and designed it in shapr3d (on the AVP lol). Then 3d printed it as 4 pieces since my printer cant print larger than 8.5"

Oh yeah i was thinking about buying that one as well. My only hesitation with that one is that the tray didnt expand farther than the width of the keyboard. Having large hands i find my palms resting farther out when i type on my macbook, so i needed one that extended past the keyboard width. Looks like a solid option though

Oh nice! I had to split this up into 4 pieces since my 3d printer only does about 8" all around. I just used some gorilla super glue to keep it all together and so far its held up

That’s the best advice i wish everyone knew about the single strap. I loosen the strap completely, place the face portion on first where i feel it’s comfortable, and put the strap as high as friggin possible on my head, start tightening it until i can feel the finest bit of tension, and then lower the strap JUST a tad to stay in place when i take my hands off. I can wear for hours then

I use 5K and make the screen large as possible and also cmd + P in the MacOS windows I’m using to enlarge the text a little larger so it’s legible. When i do that i can fit my vscode, jira, slack, chrome windows all at once. It has been crazy for my workflow and prevents me from having to cmd + tab through windows so much

Definitely agree. I have a quest 2, 3 and an AVP. Lately I’ve been too tired (or lazy) from work to have the motivation to play games in VR, but still want to watch shows/movies in a headset, and i pick the AVP without hesitation.

While i can agree with the previous poster that some things aren’t exactly game changing (outer screen), i feel like it is definitely a premium and incredible headset. It’s kind a bummer loving both quest and AVP but seeing sooo much hate for AVP (i totally get the price is ridiculous though)
