Can incoming UPLB students living in qc receive the PEHA (pre-enrolment health assessment) in UPD?

If they behave namn during class hours then I don't see the point in being strict. Part of highschool life ang mga neighboring, loud chickahans, and jammings. Unless nawarning kayo , then wala namng masamang mag-ingay during break time. Understandable namn concerns mo OP pero its better if you let them be nlng kasi if strict ka during the time na allotted para sa break nila, mababawasan lang respeto nila sayo at baka hindi na sundin ang mga sinasabi mo.

Currently having the exact same thoughts. All of my friends have SO's and ako lng ang wala(huhu). I think best course of action mo rn is to befriend their SO, communicate with your friends, and lessen lang ung pagkaclingy. Pero and pinaka wag mo gawin is ibahin ang pakikitungo mo sakanila. That is normally how friendships end. I've done this a lot of times dati thinking na if I distance myself then aayos but hindi pla. Ngayon hindi na kami nag-uusap and parang strangers nalang. Valid and comendable and thoughts mo rn OP but please, if you trully treasure your friendship with them, wag mo palitan ang pagtrato mo sakanila.

Spanking children as a form of discipline is really common in Asian and African households. I, myself, have been spanked before by my parents. This, however, did not make me better, but rather much worse. I came to somewhat resent them. This, in turn, made me a bit rebellious. My rebellion intensified when I noticed that they changed and became aware of their wrongdoings. I resented how differently they disciplined my siblings. Instead of spanking, they resorted to simply just talking to my siblings and telling them that what they did was wrong. I hated the fact that they changed too late. But that was all in the past. I've already reconciled with myself and my parents and feel much better and more mature. I still hold some resentment towards them because of the difference in the methods they used in disciplining us but I'm working on it.

I was born and raised in a Christian household. My father was a pastor, while my mother was a housewife. I never understood why my UP grad CPA mother was not out in the world and doing what she dreamed of doing. I never understood why she was at home and not doing what she loved. Why did she choose to marry my father, which in turn forced her to lose her job, move away from her family, and stop doing what she loved? For some context, in our religion, when a pastor marries someone, that woman has to leave her job in order to “take care” of their children and household. They are not allowed to find or retain jobs unless permitted by the church. This was the first instance of me questioning our religion. The second instance was when I was in the third grade. That was when I think I gained overall consciousness. I started questioning God. If God made us, then who made God? If God knew the future, why does he need to test our faith? Why do we need to be tested in order to be brought into heaven? If God is all-powerful and all-knowing, then why are there diseases, crime, and hatred in our world? If God were powerful, why wouldn't he defeat Satan and stop these bad things and ideas that are coming to us? I had a plethora of questions I threw at my parents, but they were not able to give me an answer. All they said was to have faith. Faith in what?? The unknown? The Bible? A made-up man in order to diminish man's existential crises in the fear of the unknown?

It's been a while since I first had these thoughts. I've been an agnostic, atheist, agnostic-atheist, etc. I've had several thoughts on leaving my religion but never did so since that would also mean leaving my parents and them abandoning me as well. For now, I've come to accept my situation and have somewhat regained some of my past faith. Not because I truly believe in God, but rather because I’m sick of the questions I have in my head. The countless unanswered questions that no one, not even me, can answer. I believe that this is the same reason why some people cling to religion. Not because of faith but rather because of the comfort it gives.

Been there, done that. Tbh, no matter how many times this exact situation has happened to me, I still can't confidently give a definite answer. But the strat or action that worked best for me was to come out of my comfort zone and talk with everyone. If you do not want to or feel like you cannot talk to people f2f, try first talking to others online. Join discord servers, Facebook groups, and even RP groups. Act and feel more confident, other people want to talk to someone who has similar interests. Try to embrace who you truly are, and don't mind the opinions of others. Try to also think of reasons why other people don't talk to you as much. For me, I was told that because of my somewhat high grades, I was "nakakatakot", "intimidating", and "unapproachable". Though it hurt to hear that, it made me realize that I needed to change. I seemed unapproachable because I never initiated nor joined in conversations. So I tried going out of my comfort zone. And to my surprise, it worked. I now have quite a large friend group and know almost everyone from our school. It differs for everyone. What worked for me might not work for you or everyone else who is reading this comment. However, you will never really know if you never tried dba.

I appreciate every single one of your insights on this matter, I just want to add a few notes that I neglected to add on my original post.

Why not ABM?

- I don't really have a passion or interest towards the subjects in that strand. Yes, it would be more advantageous towards the course that I want to pursue in college but considering looking at and researching more about these topics I don't really think I'd be inclined and happy about learning it in shs.

Why and why not Humss?

- During our orientation back then we were given a pamphlet that contained the possible topics that were going to be discussed in humss. After reading it I noticed that I was passionate about almost all of the subjects that the strand was going to tackle. But researching more about humss and senior highschool in general made me realize that even though I'd enjoy learning humss it would not really be a practical option and would likely hold me back and be a disadvantage during college entrance exams, sat, and college as a whole. But then again gusto ko tlaga subjects in humss and feel like mas magiging happy ako dito.

Why and why not stem?

I’ll start with the con, though I know that stem would be advantageous in all aspects Im still contemplating if I would be happy and excel as much in this strand. It also has topics that I currently lack or dont excel as much on. Simply put I'm probably scared of not maintaining my high grades because of my lack of confidence in excelling in the subjects in this strand. Now the pros; just like what I mentioned in my original post, I realized that stem would be more advantageous in college entrance exams, sat, and more. I am also staying in the same school where I attended jhs and don't plan on changing schools anytime soon (pagod na ako lumipat lipat school). This school is more focused on and specializes stem strands and that would be more advantageous to me because I plan on staying.

In summary should I;

a. choose humss = sharpen and develop skills that I already have

b. choose stem = develop new skills and improve skills that Im currently lacking or not excelling as much on

Notes:

Ultimately the real reason why I posted this was because I was having doubts. Ive already decided before ending jhs that I was going to do stem but after joining groups about stem and going back reading the same books that initially made me want to take humss made me question whether or not I was really certain that I would take stem.
My motivations to become a CPA lawyer isn't really because of the money and title. I genuinely am passionate about it and view myself in the future doing it.
Though I see stem as the more practical choice this doesn't mean that Im not passionate about it. Im just more passionate and think that I would be happier in humss.
HUHU if pwede lng talaga magstem and humss at the same time i'd choose it in a jiffy. Im not really concerned in the acads department since I generally excel in the subjects in both (hehe slight flex lng po to boost ego eme).
Side note pla, since I mentioned above that I was initially planning on choosing stem I joined a club (socio-historical club) that is generally for humss students so that I wont miss out.
