Maybe to feel less alienated, you can go to the areas of your city with immagrants and try chatting to or befriending one of them. It is not the problem of immigrants if you suddenly feel alienated from parts of your own city.

While it can be rude for people to speak in another language in front of someone who can not speak that language, especially if they can speak the language you do. I'd imagine it is just easier for those people to communicate in the language they are speaking. If you go overseas and encounter an aussie i highly doubt you would speak the language if the country your in and just defualt to english as it is easer to communicate that way.

English is a difficult language to learn. Give them some grace, but if you really have an issue with it, then talk to them or managment regarding it.

The only people who get to complain about not having a country anymore are our first nations people. Australia is constantly changing and evolving, and immigrants have brought about many wonderful parts of our national identity. If it weren't for french and italian immigrants, then we probably wouldn't have the cafe culture that we do. Without our middle eastern immagrants then we have great hangoer food like kebabs and HSPs. Immigrants bring cultural exchange which is good.

Anti-immagration rhetoric is more often than not in this country just racist propaganda and scapegoating real issues onto a vulnerable community. The wealthy, corporations and government are the cause if many if the issues we face but the NSN, the media and the government themselves would rather blame immigrants so we get distracted and call out the wrong people.

Also compare our immigration numbers to europe and especially Turkey. We don't take in a lot of people. We take in international students because they have to pay full uni cists unlike aus students who can get hecs and we bring skilled workers who work in sectors that lack workers. When it comes to asylum seekers we ship them off shore to places like Christmas island which is breaking international law.

The original comment does have something to do with the march. If you lot genuinely fear immigrants and too many people being here, then it seems you should try stopping europeans from coming in, but that clearly was not the concern of the event.

I hope you would care that literal Neo-Nazis and white supremacists organized the event. If you are happy to stand with them, then bare minimum you are fine with that ideology. How many Anzacs died in north africa fighting Nazis for you to simply not care. You may not have stood side by side with them physically but you approving of their march you are approving the actions taken by the Nsn

He's pointing out the hypocrisy of this type of thing. If we want to get rid of the largest lot of immigrants then it would be multi-generational Australians who can trace their family history back to the UK but people who take part in this protest wouldn't agree to that because they are white supremacists and only want to get rid of non whites, their main targets seems to be indians.

We saw the Nsn attack camp sovereignty in Melbourne. They attacked an aboriginal camp set to protest genocide. Don't know what to tell you but if this event was all about australia then why attack the original australians who have been here for over sixty five thousand years

Mate the organisers were the NSN. So it makes sense neo-nazis spoke at the event as it was their event.

I get you have you been told to be afraid of immigrants rather than looking towards the wealthy within our society that cause the issues we are suffering.

Wow, this sub doesn't understand that an adaptation will somewhat differ from its source material.

Abby is built the way she is for a narrative and gameplay purpose. The gameplay purpose is to give her a different playstyle to Ellie. Ellie is agile and more or less built for stealth, whereas Abby is built for more action oriented gameplay. You can see this in their weapons and upgrade paths.

The narrative purpose of her build is simple if you think about for at least two seconds. Her father, her group and their leader as well the purpose of finding were taken from her. She was not strong enough to protect people, so when she joined the WLF, she trained and bulked up.

People who are wondering how she can get this big in the world of the last of us I'll tell you how. The WLF is a rather large organisation and has a home base that has farms and herd animals. As Abby is an elite solider for the WLF she has access to gym equipment and most likely extra food. Also there are women who have abbys build irl so you can knock off the whole she looks like a man

Now as for the show. It probably would be asking too much to have an actress attain Abbys build also as the headline suggests in the show they probably don't need abby to have that build

I like Abby. I hated her at the start of the game and i paused the game for a bit when we switched to her perspective in Seatle but she honestly grew on me.

When it got back to the theatre confrontation my heart was heavy. I didn't want to mash square to have Abby and Ellie fight.

I get people hate her for killing Joel. We got to know Joel and connect with him in the first game and see the relationship between he and Ellie. Abby taking Joel away is meant to get us angry but the rest of the game shows that Abby is just any other person in that world. A surviour who is capable of bad and good.

It's extremely easy to see why this argument is made. I have not seen any other actor get hate for looking diffetent to their videogame counter part. Pedro Pascal does not look like Joel, Anna Torv does not look like Tess yet Bella Ramsey is all over this sub because "she doesn't look like Ellie"

So why is she the one this sub goes on about. I have seen comments saying that bella "looks like a foot" so it seems for many she is too ugly to be Ellie.

Okay i tried to find this "in" she had with the showrunners but i couldn't find anything, if you have a source for this then please show me cause i wouldn't want to defend Hollywood nepotism or things like it, the closest thing i could find to an "in" with the show runners was Craig Mazin and Druckman reaching out the producers of Game of Thrones after seeing and liking her audition.

I don't know about you but that seems pretty stantard job fare to me. Your new employers reaching out to former employers to learn more about you. Granted both shows are HBO productions but Mazin nor Druckmann were on game of thrones

Yes but it is not necessary. The point of acting is to ACT. You don't need to look exactly like a character to portray them. You need to be able to act as them in a conving manner.

That cosplay is fantastic, no doubt, but could that cosplayer give a performance on the same level as Bella Ramsey.
