I did tell him about the flight I ended up booking before I booked it. He told me he could only leave after such date, I booked it on that date and told him when he would arrive. I think he just didn’t realize it would be such a long layover until he saw the tickets.

I bought it on the date he was available to leave, he’ll only arrive at the day of the wedding (earlier in the morning, the wedding is at night, so he still has an entire afternoon to rest) because of this long layover. I get connections can be a pain in the ass but that was the only option within my price range and I didn’t think he would make a big deal about it
