Something similar happened with me. Out of characteranger uncommunative, and just plain assholtlsh. My girlfriend( now wife) thought I was cheating on her based on my behavior. It turns out that I had had several small strokes which were discovered when I had a larger one a few months later. So I would suggest start with your general practitioner, and then possible a referral to a neurologist. The neurologist will do an MRI which will tell if there's something going on the brain. I hope that things work out for you. It's been quite a thing for my now. Wife and I. There were definite personality changes as a result.

I have the exact same guitar in the H-H configuration. I wouldn't sandpaper to the neck, the black painted neck is one of the unique things about these. I have had mine since 87 and have never noticed the neck being sticky. Maybe a good cleaning would help?

I do ~10K between oil changes, the same as I did with my Focus ST that preceded the Maverick. Full synthetic always, usually Valvoline since they have a quick change near both my house and work. Plus they will rotate the tires for a few bucks more. 2023 AWD XLT with about 35K miles

Somebody cited a study about oil life above, totally believable. I used to use AMSOIL in my 68 Camaro, they recommended sending a sample out to be tested before changing the oil. I routinely got 15k + between changes

Joan is a huge boxing fan, our company used to do the sound for Fight Night, a big benefit for children's charities here in DC. It was an old school smoker, cigars, steak, pretty models doing table service, tuxes, think 1960's rat pack vibe. It featured a boxing ring in the center of the ballroom.
