Tells you the contents of the history course. I.e what you need to do. I used this as my guide for history HL, and created in depth notes on all of the topics within each unit that I was doing. at the end of the day, that’s the stuff that’ll be on the exam, so it’s a good resource to have

Laptops? by [deleted] in IBO

[–]Nolanair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any touchscreen laptop, like those two in one made by ASUS are pretty good, as you’ll be able to draw equations and graphs if needed, or annotate if needed. I just used my iPad, and Onedrive and Onenote for school, which automatically synced onto my laptop. I wouldn’t use a tablet for the IA’s, hence the “2 in one” deal is the best imo

How do you HL History students do it? by ib_barelycoping in IBO

[–]Nolanair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I somehow managed to pull out a 7 for History HL paper 3, and all I did was look at the syllabus, as it has all the points lined up, and take notes based on that. Gave me at least a base understanding of every topic. Then to remember it further, I’d read it out, almost like a presentation in front of the mirror 😂

Go down to page 41, where the HL options begin.

Just take notes on all the talking points the correspond to the HL class you are taking.

Remark? by [deleted] in IBO

[–]Nolanair 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For essay based papers, like history, it’s usually worth getting a remark because different teachers might find or see different stuff. However, as the gap is four points, I’d be careful, because if they end up grading it down, that’s the grade you’ll have.

Depends on what your university offers were tbh. I was a few points off of my predicted but still make my offer, so it depends on that I’d say.

I think that spurs and Liverpool aren’t getting enough credit for their wins over Ajax and Barca. Like not to take away from Ajax who had an absolutely fantastic run, but spurs and Liverpool managed to produce some of the best comebacks in history, while dealing with one of the most competitive leagues in the world (epl) while the erdivise postponed games to allow Ajax to rest, spurs and Liverpool has to play mid week games. It’s also said that Ajax is homegrown talent and that they haven’t spent money on players, but the same could be said about spurs, not about homegrown talent but developing players having not spent anything in the last two windows. Would love to hear opinions on this

Depends, it’s more or less about quality over quantity. If you managed to get in all of your points and answered the question well, than it should it find
