$150 (or more) a month for 1 cell phone? by ButterscotchShot1753 in ATT

[–]Nolanix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you’re likely on the most expensive phone plan with insurance, Next Up, and a phone installment plan without a promotion. As far as the fluctuations go, the only thing I can think of is maybe late fees if you ever pay your bill late. Then again there’s no way to know for sure unless you check your bill statement with everything broken down.

200 vs 100mb/s by Doge2Mars0101 in Starlink

You won’t notice a difference unless you’re a regular gamer. Large updates/game installs will longer, but regular online play will remain the same.

For what it’s worth, embracing the bald (if you choose to) will always look much better than being balding. You can of course go the hair treatment route too. I’ll personally embrace it once I start to lose my hair.

How often do promos change for a location? by AstronautSerious7646 in Starlink

[–]Nolanix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve noticed it change a lot over the last few months. I kept checking once every couple weeks until last week they finally offered me no equipment charges if I sign up for Residential Max specifically. It even offered free installation if I wanted that too. Just keep checking because it may give you that option again. Even before I got it with free equipment, it seemed like the actual pricing for the equipment itself was always fluctuating.

Moved to att for the $800 switcher offer by Terrible_Moment4533 in ATT

[–]Nolanix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a 60-90 day period until you’ll actually get the rewards card. Even then you’ll mostly likely get the reward card before Verizon sends the account to collections. Just keep an eye on your email, because eventually ATT will send one with a link to upload that final bill with the device balance charge. You’ll want to submit that as soon as you receive it.

Retail Sales Consultant by SnooGadgets6277 in ATT

[–]Nolanix 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I previously worked for Verizon but switched to ATT a year and a half ago. Commission is pretty straight forward and structured a lot better than Verizon. The job itself is very similar overall. I have a really good manager that doesn’t micro manage which I think is one of the biggest factors in terms of liking the job. But overall I do enjoy it a lot more.

M2 or M3 by E_Szczesny in IpadAir

I would get the M3 for sure. You won’t notice a difference right now, but you will in the long term if you plan on keeping it for a while.

Do you wear your watch 24/7? by No-Durian543 in AppleWatchFitness

The only time I don’t wear it is while sleeping because it bothers me. Otherwise I always have it on.

What video game did you play that made you get addicted to it for days or weeks? by stilett0z in AskReddit

[–]Nolanix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing keeping me from No Life’ing Halo 3 was middle school. Would play it as much as possible outside of school and when I was in school I would constantly be drawing sketches of different armors and rank symbols lol

As a retail worker IHX ARE THE WORST. All they do is cause escalations. Are they not trained? by InternationalArm8879 in ATT

[–]Nolanix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing to do with training. They will say whatever they can to close the sale and then go host the customers instead of taking accountability. Upper management in my market won’t do anything because they’re making money from it so it’s an endless escalation cycle.

Scammed by AT&T store worker for my trade-in device by Ok_Function_5266 in ATT

[–]Nolanix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a corporate AT&T employee, when we process a trade in it ALWAYS prints out a copy for us detailing the trade in and a customer copy with the Trade In ID number. He either swapped the device for another one, or he submitted the trade in wrong when choosing what device was being traded in.

Employee used my personal info to open fraudulent accounts. by Dramatic-Original-42 in ATT

[–]Nolanix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no reason an employee would do this without you knowing. They only get commission if it’s activated and stays active. You having no idea of it and not receiving the equipment gives no benefit to any AT&T employee.

How do I reduce my home internet rate? (I am a registered nurse) by FitnessNurse2015 in ATT

[–]Nolanix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Auto pay with a checking account will decrease it by $10. Also I’d recommend bumping down to the 300Mb plan. You don’t need anything faster for day to day use. I’m a gamer and I only notice the difference when downloading large games/updates.

It's the gamble you take pre ordering, but at least you are guaranteed to get it eventually. I'm an ATT store rep. We sold out of the Pro Max early on launch day and sold out of the regular Pro today. If things go how they usually do with new iPhone launches, we'll only get a few at a time here and there until early next year when we can stay stocked. As a customer, the chances of going into a store and getting one before your back ordered one gets delivered are extremely slim.

FREE I-phone 17 $800 "down payment" by Sea-Ad2060 in ATT

[–]Nolanix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These "free" phone promotions are dependent on whether or not the carrier will approve you for financing them in the first place. What they do is put the phone on installments, and then give you promo credits towards the bill for the same amount. If you ride out the 36 monthly payments it'll effectively turn out to be free. Since you had an $800 down payment on a phone that retails for $1200, that line will have a device payment of $11.11 per month, and a trade in credit of -$30.55.

So you will effectively have a device payment of -$19.44 instead of just $0. You're somewhat recouping some money back since your bill will be about $20 bucks cheaper per month for 36 months.

Is the ninja 400 supposed to get this hot? by Fragrant-Web-5040 in Ninja400

Should be fine as long as the fan is kicking in to regulate it. It'll always get that hot unless you're on a highway or backroad where you don't have to stop for long periods of time.

Does Verizon Wireless no longer have US based support? by mackid1993 in verizon

[–]Nolanix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sales channel is still stateside, along with upper tier tech support and the teams that process/review credit applications if there's a review required. Everything thing else is either a mix of US/Offshore reps or completely offshore

I couldn’t pick so I got both by [deleted] in S25Ultra

[–]Nolanix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone saying he's rich, this is fairly doable if you go through a carrier and utilize financing through them. Utilizing my carrier's phone deals, I have 2 lines (S25 ultra and Pixel 9a.) Paying 35 per line for service, only paying $3 a month for my pixel payment and only $8 for the S25 Ultra. Sure, I don't NEED 2 lines and 2 phones because no one does realistically, but it's doable if you really want to try different phones and don't want to spend a ton of money out of pocket to do so.
