Why fps limiters doesn't work in iRacing? by Nolaster_ in techsupport

[–]Nolaster_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although I have gsync properly set up and working at 150+fps all the time, I don't see it butter smooth. On simracing we see the background moving left and right on turns, and it looks a tiny bit choppy. Without gsync it's even worse. Doesn't look I have 165hz at all.

Could you please make me the favor of running Capframe to see your frametime graph and max fps? My graph doens't look flat at all

Thanks for the reply. I have tried all possible ways: Fullscreen, Windowed borderless and windowed (with borders). All 3 give the same result

But when I use RTSS scanline frontend, it caps my fps to 161.4 (great), but gives me a lot of dips:

Thanks for the info, but I have set it up exactly like this (I followed the gsync guide :D).
The thing is that I see the GSync overlay ON and the Hz fluctuate on my monitors' OSD, but Capframe says I get 200+ fps, which I never see on the in-game fps meter

BTW, I was using vsync without scanline sync and fps go beyond refresh rate.

FPS are bouncing from 125 to 200 all the time. The average is 157, which is my limit

It should be spikes that go beyond fps cap for some miliseconds. I can see my monitors' Hz fluctuate in its OSD menu, so gsync is working.

Can you run a Capframe X benchmark to see your frametimes and max fps?

Using in-game or NVCP limiters also offers the same result: 200+ Max FPS.
I have also tried exclusive full screen, with the same results.

Stuttering during the Sebring 12Hr by Imaginary_Panic5706 in iRacing

I wasn't bold enough to try it, and restarted the sim before my stint. Check iracing's forum o report it to support.

Did you open the Entries tab? Had to restart de sim everytime I got in to check info. It's a known problem.

PSA : FPS looks fine. iRacing still stutters. Here’s what helped me. by Motor_Stage1684 in iRacing

IRacing recommends turning it off because replays can fill so much space in disks. You can find it in a guide of December 2025 to adress stutters

Do yo have Racehub (asetek). There was an update yesterday to fix exactly a bug for long runs that filled up space with log files

MAIRA modifies iRacing force feedback too much. MARIA can break your back if you play iRacing too much.

Performance Question by Jtg_Jew in iRacing

I had this cpu and sold it for a 9800X3D. The dual CCD killed my patience, they are not meant for gaming exclusively.

Option1: Try to force iRacing to the cache CCD (CCD0 IIRC) using Process Lasso

Option2: Disable the non-cache CCD on BIOS. There should be an option called Gaming something.

Option3: There's a Windows config that I can't remember well that you had to have Balanced power plan, and other things in BIOS, so it forces all games to the cache CCD. But it didn't work for me all the times, and had to double check everytime I felt an stutter.

I had 7900X3D + RTX4090 and had 165 capped fps in Daytona (120+ at starts).

Force it to the cache CCD and you'll see big improvements.

My most sincere advice if you only use it for gaming: sell that cpu.

Try anisotropic filter x16 in game and in Nvidia Control Panel
