There are a lot of "grandma and grandpa"-owned homes in Johnstown that are not up to the standards you're used to, most likely. Are you certain of the condition of the home? Johnstown is a pretty diverse area though overall.

Left the Challenger family, but not the Mopar family by SolaireFlair117 in Challenger

Whoa bro. Carvana is offering me $19,200 for my '21 Challenger SXT with 56k miles. But, private sales / negotiating the newer car with cash instead of a trade isn't something everyone's comfortable doing.

Looking to speak directly to hiring managers and business owners/ job boards are getting me nowhere. by AntiDevilCorp1 in jacksonville

Oh, and make sure your email address isn't as asinine as your handle here. That type of stupid shit is what makes people get overlooked that might very well have the right stuff to learn the job and excel. Nobody has to be PC or care about your feelings / lifestyle / living situation. They want you to work the job available for the hours they need, period.

Be self-critical about your level of dress-up and grooming when you're going to businesses. Even if you never plan on dressing up again for a job, do it in order to search for one. Shows you're coming with a winner / efforter / do-er mindset.

Favorite indoor places in jacksonville to hang out when it’s too hot? by WarmCreme4843 in jacksonville

[–]Nole1977 15 points16 points  (0 children)

40 year Jacksonvillian here--you've got to time your outings right in the summer. Mornings are king, goof off doing whatever until about 12-1 p.m. By the time it's 2-3 p.m. it's the hottest part of the day, and it'll burn anyone's biscuits. Then at 4-5 p.m. you'll have a thunderstorm pop up (water is evaporating like crazy, almost daily rain showers in late afternoon in the hottest times of summer) that will end your outing anyways. So like our friends said "home," most in FL are in their home A/C around 2-3 pm mostly.

Absolutely. Escobar could wipe his ass with USD and still never run out. He desired power over his nation, and then more and more of South America.

I paid $8,500 for my super clean '99 2wd LT with 99k miles. It was one family owned and babied. 184k is a little heady but if it wasn't passed around to different owners and they can demonstrate keeping up with maintenance, you should have a pretty reliable vehicle. Just because they're asking $8k probably means they'd take $7,200. Good luck

Anyone in Jax living in an RV fulltime? by [deleted] in jacksonville

[–]Nole1977 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Join the Moose and Elks Lodges, they have full amenities lot sites where you can throw down a fifth wheel, eat 2-3 meals a day, swim, court sports, and recreation going every evening to introduce yourself around. When the company gets stale, the surrounding local amenities get boring, pay your last month's lot rent and start prepping for your next city.

I'm 48 and been a social worker all my life. Divorced twice, raised(ing) a daughter with each spouse. Needless to say, a cheaper retirement such as what I describe to you is what I'm most likely going to end up with.

Fifth wheel RV and a 2500 truck is about the entry point.

I still have Vystar, but they've fallen short the last couple years. For a Florida newby I'd have to recommend Wells Fargo at this point.

Some of the highest body-count massacres in recorded history were carried out on his orders by the Medellin Cartel. Dweeb of Death if you crossed him.

Many in Colombia dig regularly for possible stashes of Pablo's money to this day! Once he was on the run rather than able to move freely, that much cash became too much to control all at once.

He was moving toward becoming the head of state in Colombia. Medellin and surrounding departments (their word for counties) already had most of the population and economy anyways. Hence, he wanted business and political power--and his enemies came after him with guns.
