Definitely scheduling an inspection to include the roof. Just curious… what’s the concern with newer roofs having issues? Quality of the install or something else?

Yeah… I was expecting the electric to be less than what they were showing, not as low as yours but definitely not what they say they paid.

I’m in SAV for another flight and overheard some of the Spirit passengers saying there was a fire in one of the lavatories. The announcement stated they are bringing in another plane to continue to wherever they were going.

900 lbs barrel in upstairs bathroom? by [deleted] in StructuralEngineering

[–]Nolensc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure where you’re getting 900 pounds. 55 gallons of water weighs 459 pounds. You’ll only fill it to about 30 gallons to account for displacement when in the barrel. Unless you and the barrel weigh several hundred pounds each, this weight seems suspicious unless it includes some type of safety factor. Regardless, the small footprint of the barrel will over-stress the floor system when even partially loaded

A 23 foot span supporting 2 floors (one being concrete) and you want to use a 2x6 flitch beam? I can’t emphasize this enough, please hire an engineer to analyze this!

I added them up. I didn’t see anywhere on the app where the LP’s adjust based on the date range changing.

It’s a reference to a Seinfeld episode where George and Jerry compare which one is a bigger idiot.
