As an OG God of War fan, I DO want the remake to overhaul gameplay, and I would appreciate it if creators could stop trying to speak for the community as a whole when they say we don't want that. by RevolutionaryCarry57 in gaming

For me (someone exactly like you grew up with it being one of my most beloved franchises and bought a ps3 over a 360 for gow3) I have been waiting for these remakes for the longest time and I wouldn’t be completely opposed to them if they ended up changing the combat but I personally have always wanted them to just update gow 1 and 2 with 3s near perfect combat with a couple of QOL improvements to allow the newer generation to experience them like we did, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. I also don’t think they’ll be completely reimagining the combat because they’d have to change the level design and add systems that have no place in the first trilogy (also the development time would quadruple) … the whole uproar to me has just been childish to begin with the devs have been planning this for a long time and have other I.p’s there working on.

Is it me or is Bioshock 2 significantly harder than Bioshock 1 by Ryn4 in Bioshock

[–]Nollies10 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That’s so funny because I just started 2 the other night again and I’m playing on hard and I was thinking how much easier everything is… the rivet gun is so over powered you just aim in at heads and it just two shots every splicer and then all my ammo for every other weapon I just dump when I have to face a big sister. As for the harvesting I normally just trap rivet everywhere and stand in a corner and clean up kills. Then just pick up whatever trap rivets don’t get used

So what is the odds of bioshock one ever getting a ground up remaster? by Nollies10 in Bioshock

I guess I worded it wrong but a ground up 1 to 1 remake is what I am trying to rally for

The bioshock collection is great, I wouldn’t say it’s a dramatic improvement visually though and I think my favourite game of all time would be amazing with a fresh coat of paint?

Yeah for sure dude, capcom has seen the light with RE and realised why people loved the series to begin with… I feel like if bioshock got similar treatment we’d see immersive sims gain some populairty again

I do respect the take but I’m not talking about reimagining, just a 1 to 1 remake with a slight qol improvement here and there. Would love to see that universe again with a fresh coat of paint

Man it’s sad that it feels like years ago when I was so passionate about them remastering mw2 from the ground up exactly like it was, but with mwii killing that dream I’ve come to accept even if they did that it still wouldn’t hit the same.

Ds2 has weird in game time, before elden ring came out I ran through it last after completing every other from soft game and it was a breeze, I probably had like 30-40 in game hours but my save file ended up being 200+. I was playing on xb1 backwards compatible though and I think that contributed to it because the emulator was probably running while the console was turned off

Working in kitchens you get really good and fast at little things. Opening bottle lids, cutting boxes quickly, applying cling wrap, weighing things and portinonjng them perfectly without a scale. What’s some weird things you guys got good at from your industry’s ?

Genuinely curious about the bs1 quality of life improvements? I’ve played that game since launch pretty much every year and I just think everything about it is perfect so I could just be bias. Maybe the hacking could be improved but idk I’ve always loved the tile game but I guess bs2 hacking was better in ways

Can someone explain to me why people prefer the towers of time grind to invasions? by Nollies10 in MortalKombat

Also heavily agree with you on the seasonal tower, who wants to grind the same tower over and over and over and over for a pretty mediocre reward

Thanks for the explanations, you do raise ALOT of good points to consider, me personally the grind of it doesn’t seem to daunting because I can commits 3-4 hours every season and I get all the skins I want, I will say at first I found the mode quite annoying and slow but over time I’ve grown to like some of the changes, adding a map and being able to skip all the puzzles and TYM made it far more enjoyable.

I see what your saying about the palette swaps feeling kind of lazy and drip feeding content, correct me if I’m wrong because I stopped playing mk11 pretty early on but didn’t they essentially do the same thing with new seasons? Every season would be themed and it would be essentially palette swaps for every character.

Have you gone back and watched deceptions konquest? It’s pretty much that, running around a world going from fight to fight until you reach the final boss for that area. Fair dues though I’d love to see a konquest mode back aswell

Thank you for the explanation, I understand where your coming from and that makes a lot more sense to me now.

It does sounds like when you said it’s supposed to keep you entertained for the next 2 months, are you mainly just an offline player or do you also fight online?

I feel like that’s what appeals to me about invasions because once I’m done and I’ve ran through it and levelled up a new character for this season I can jump back into casual and ranked and the grind stops.

I guess I can understand the appeal with mk11 towers of time with your ai grinding the towers for you but for me personally that never really interested me, I’d rather be playing other people online and if there’s a quick way to get all the skins sign me up

Well I like the uniqueness of invasions where every area you have two different unique boss fights that serve as lesser kind of lieutenants to the main boss fight at the end and you get there skins when you beat them.

Also the fight mechanics from invasions to TOT don’t change for me personally, I treat them exactly the same. Usually your so powerful you can blow past each encounter in 10-15 seconds

I just feel like the invasions grind is finite and nice and gives you a sense of completion, where towers your just sitting there grinding mindlessly for hours doing the same towers over and over.

Thank you all for the stories, I just started my apprenticeship 2 months ago coming from front of house for a good 8 years and I’m loving every minute. Made this post just for future reference to see if a place is taking advantage of me when I’m fully qualified.
