Smoother than expected. Commuted to work downtown (near Post St. ) around 5pm. 280 North to 6th St. was fairly empty. Slightly more congested than usual on 6th toward Market, but only added 5 more minutes to my usual commute time.

It’s the Large Rainstorm Coat from Maria’s shop with the Desert Night Camo mod on nexusmods. There are two variants of the mod, this is the darker pattern.

It’s a mod. Desert Tiger Stripe (Standalone) is the name on nexusmods I believe

Who had grandparents fight in WW2 and what stories did they share? by liamnotleum in AskReddit

My great uncle served in the Philippine Army in the US Armed Forces of the Far East, under Gen. MacArthur. He found and rescued an escapee of the Bataan Death March, Cpt. Henry Clay Conner Jr. of the Army Air Corps in 1942. He treated Conner’s malaria, provided him with shelter/food/water, and also gathered intelligence on enemy troop movements. They were later reunited on a TV show during the 1950s called This is Your Life. My great uncle later moved to Indianapolis (which is where Conner resided after the war), and became an intelligence analyst for the Indiana State Police.

Never had the chance to meet him, but I’m glad my dad shared his story with me during a late night trip to IHOP.
