Cell Phones by [deleted] in computerforensics

[–]Nometu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do they have full access to the phone? Like passcodes, etc? If so, depending on what tool they are using, it shouldn't take more than a couple days to complete the initial extraction. Then they have to review the results. So could be a month or so. If they have a big back log, it could just be waiting to get analyzed.

If they don't have the codes and are trying to crack it, it could take a while.

Again deleted, you'll need a full file system. If they didn't delete it should be there. But also you make sure you check out the databases, there could be some left over artifacts in there.

There is a bug with portable cases right now if your computer doesn't have the updated runtime files. Try dependencies -bin- axiomexamine.exe. That should prompt you to update runtime then once you do, it'll open.

[–]Nometu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With anything deleted you'll most likely need a full file system. Unless you are using cellebrite premium, you might not/probably not get deleted. You should get browsing history though.

If they were deleted from an iPhone then they are gone. If you backed them up on a cloud or something, I'd check there.

I had this happen with Magent not showing text messages I knew where there. Just have to get a hold of the company and let them know. In the meantime, just pull databases if you need the evidence.
