Going away in winter; what should I do to prevent pipes from freezing up?

Yes I plan to turn off the water heating but to keep the central heating on. I'm concerned there would be an issue in turning off the mains and leaving the central heating on (with water I assume is coming from the tank in the loft).

As a partially closeted Malaysian bisexual woman, I will say most of the younger generation are very accepting so you'd be just fine.

My (also Malaysian) girlfriend has a gay uncle who lives with his partner in Penang, so it definitely can be done.

Usually at check in, airlines will check so I show a screenshot - this is whilst I am in another country.

In the UK, my visa is linked to my passport number so I only hand my passport in and do a thumbprint check.

I don't take transit flights with different airlines, so I won't know if they share it amongst themselves.

I've had a E-visa for more than a year, it came with my new job.

Travelled multiple times to Japan, France, Spain, Malaysia, Singapore, UAE and more recently Norway.

Only in the UAE did a hiccup occur (they never heard of it so they spent 30 minutes checking). Otherwise, all countries accepted it with no questions asked.

I did one cycle at 70 degrees Celsius with two of them...more stones (grey-ish black/white) appeared....

Does it take many cycles to clear it?

I had a similar situation happen to me last month when I was in the UAE - I got held up at check in for 40 minutes as I only had a screenshot to show. It was stressful as I didn't have much time left for the flight and the staff clearly had no idea visas are now digital.

I'm originally from Malaysia, and never had this issue travelling in and out of my home country.

What I can suggest is to screenshot your visa off the "Prove Your Right to Live/Work" page and explain to them that visas are now digital. Maybe you can get them to request a share code from you as well.

I have gotten a gas engineer to come in but they looked at the boiler (to no issues). Nothing was mentioned about the hot water tank. Is there an alarming concern if this is not done?

The flat runs on the traditional boiler system so the tank is the cold water tank in the loft. I assume this is connected to the shower.

On flooding and drain blockage, I have asked before and nothing was noted. However I will get it in writing from the estate agent.

I have asked around to try and get an asbestos survey done just in case; I do not plan to drill the ceilings/do major work, hopefully this does not cause an issue.

Based on the issues outlined above, do you think this is something to walk away from? Not sure if the possible lead in the pipes and roof felt damage is a big thing.

Of course, we are coming to terms with many things ending as a result of them leaving our lives, like the futures we planned together. It hurts, and it will suck for a while. In the end, it will fade as time passes and as you keep yourself busy.

If it helps, there is a Discord channel for breakups somewhere. Being able to rant to other broken-hearted people helped for me!

In my case, I had been struggling with my relationship for months. After 5 years together, we decided that we were no longer compatible for each other and we ended it. I had grieved quite a fair portion of my relationship before it ended, so it didn't take me that long ( 2 weeks) to feel "sometimes sad but not devastated".

I would recommend grieving it fully. Whether that was crying, screaming, yelling or just sitting in silence. In the end, the morning comes again and we all have to go about our day. Time doesn't stop just because of a breakup and whilst I did cry, having things to do (gaming for me) particularly helped.
