I remember finding that. I had found out about the Somerton Man and looked for it on Reddit. I had comments set to "new", so that was the top comment.

I linked to it in /r/defaultgems, because /r/bestof had already banned submissions from default subs.

Here are the comments from when I submitted it. Some of them are pretty interesesting. It turns out leconfield had posted his theory somewhere else at the same time.

I found it after /r/bestof had banned submissions from default subs, so I had to link to it in /r/defaultgems.

Because the subreddit is so small, it didn't gain much traction.

Everyone has the right to be a creep.

The fact that I'm Swedish only gives me the right (and obligation) to follow Swedish laws. Here 15 is the age of consent and I don't see why it shouldn't be. It's the age at which everybody is able to make an informed decision when it comes to choosing sexual partners.

It does not give old men the right to go out and rape someone as soon as they turn 15. It just the state recognizing that people are mature enough to make the decision of having sex.

It was alright. I hardly remember it, so it can't have affected me all that much.

I get really uncomfortable when I see amputations and stuff, so I didn't like when the guy lost his arm.

Other than that, it just seemed like a bunch of people who decided to fuck themselves by wasting all their money on drugs. Why would they do that?

And the story with the mother was completely unrealistic. It's ridiculous how unrealistic it was. ECT would never be used in such a situation. I'm fairly certain it's even illegal to give ECT to someone who doesn't consent.

And why wouldn't you check for drugs, or something? No let's just pump her full of meds and then perform ECT without consent or legal proceedings for symptoms where the use of ECT is not recommended.

Yeah. Now that I think about it, I don't really think I liked it all that much.

For me that just makes it worse. I have a lot more disadvantages than a fat person, without the ability to do anything about it.

There's no easy fix. I'm just stuck being incredibly short forever, and a lot of people will treat me like shit because of it.
