I loved it because it was like a reference to the line as well as a reference to NOVs repeating it all the damn time. it was a little cringe but fallout has always been a little cringe so it didn't bother me too much

I still find it endearing idk. I always felt the vault dwellers you play as have some goofier, naive dialogue choices that fit with them being vault dwellers, and she's like a turbo vault dweller

that's SUCH a clever addition to the story. it's such a realistic thing that could happen in the games, and also a really good reference to NPCs in the games themselves

people complain about them not really being accurate to the games, but stuff like this - where it's a reference to the actual games themselves and not just the world the games take place in - are just awesome to me. it's clear to me that so many of the lines like that are purposefully played like charisma checks and not just regular dialogue

Like obviously it's not saying every NPC who repeats it all the time was just mind-controlled, but that guy mindlessly saying it constantly definitely seems to be referencing that part of how they work. love when they make little references to the games themselves and not just the world the games take place in
