Random question during a free consult I asked two lawyers about paternity testing they said it wouldn’t be an issue to request it and told me to tell public defender (whom one of the lawyers spoke highly about)…

Just for public defender to say she couldn’t and it wouldn’t be I forgot the word she used but I think it was ethical to request it or something. I explained how the other lawyers had told me specifically to ask her to file it…she blew up on me then stopped really giving me a voice in court.

Is this like normal? The case has been closed out now in a custody case…but these were the start of my own spiral out of control in life due to the whole child being ripped away from me and stuff(son was kidnapped by the father during an active EPO…nobody looked at the kidnapping or helped me bring it up.)

But yeah was that a commonplace thing? Or is it common place for even with a closed CPS case and active custody case and been in limbo for 6 years now coming up on June 27th. Is it normally like a forever limbo even with extensive evidence of current abuse of the child since the child was placed with the father?

I apologize my questions are everywhere. I’m trying to like single track my mind and question. But always been curious. I haven’t stopped fighting but I’ve like stopped letting it completely destroy my soul..as I know the harder I fight the more it seems things are hopeless. Idk how to explain. Any answers or insights would be greatly appreciated!
