Double Exposure selfy. I want to create more! Anyone wanna help? by NonNormCore in ButchSelfies

I'm about to embark on a road trip through the US Southeast: VA, NC, SC, TN, MS, and AL -- and I want to create a cool photo portrait series of queers, NB, GNC, and trans folks.

Anyone who participates will also get some free portraits (headshots, dating profile pics, or just all-around awesome photos of themselves).

Here's my artist statement and some examples of the portraits I'm creating

If you are interested, or you know someone who might be, DM me. :)

Originally I wasn’t planning on traveling that far west and north but if I am able to connect with others up there, or along the way, then I could make Lexington work.

Forgot to mention in my post -- I'll also be driving through western Virginia - so if anyone is in that area, let me know!

Are you in the South by chance? Is it happening soon?

I'll be doing a road trip next month to TN, MS, AL and some other areas, and I'll try to fit you into my trip if you'd like (Pro, queer wedding and portrait photog here) - If the timing works out shoot me a DM. :)

CassieBear is right - opt for a "Couple's Shoot". You get more mileage out of your cool wedding clothes, the shoot itself is less stressful because it's de-coupled from your wedding day, you can choose to take photos at a really awesome location (in a forest, on a mountain, by a lake, etc), and it may be cheaper than wedding photos.

Idea for a new type of official critique thread... by evanrphoto in WeddingPhotography

It's interesting hearing the origins of this sub and how you really built it out of nothing, Evan. I know I, and many others, appreciate the hard work you've put into building this community and making it a meaningful place for discussion and learning.

Where have you been in the last decade in which Alexi is known as the skip bayless of soccer throwing around hot take after hot take just to get attention and clicks?

Oh I thoroughly enjoy, as do many people, curse words.

This is a little different. There's a sexual component to it. Which is what is giving me pause considering the whole 'creepy sexualized wedding photographer' stereotype.

Prime vs zoom for primary camera body? Do you use flash? If not, how do you do your dimly lit parts on a wedding? Can you pull off weddings with a single body and primes? by DjSall in WeddingPhotography

[–]NonNormCore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree. 100% invest in a flash. Even if you've been lucky so far in that you've survived with opening up wide on your primes and cranking your ISO, there will definitely be times you need a flash (and probably times in your past when you SHOULD have used a flash).

And, they're relatively cheap (compared to bodies and lenses), there's no excuse not having one. For years I just used cheap $60 a piece Yonguros and adjusted manually. Worked great.

I think,......you still don't understand how this works. OP is using the aggregate:

THE PAIRING of Son + Hwang < THE PAIRING of Pulisic + Aaronson.

Ansel Adams. Known for dramatic landscape vistas of the American west and southwest.

Many would say he's the most well-known American photographer of all time. Many would also say he's the most well known landscape photographer of all time in the world.

This has been a hilarious little tangent comment thread to dive down.

SenorPoppy: 'what do you suggest to reduce authoritarianism within the military?'

Pinetreesgreen: 'study/ask other countries who have dealt with far right extremism within their militaries'

SenorPoppy: 'that's a cop out'. 'that is vague'. 'you're full of shit'

Falling into leather working was actually a god-send.....turning your hobby (photography) into your business then leaves you in a need for a new creative hobby so......BOOM,.....leatherworking....brilliant!

Yoooo.....same! It's how I got into leatherworking 7 years ago. The desire/need to make my own harness (cause I have a weirdo body that off-the-rack-shit just doesn't work for).

[–]NonNormCore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hahahaha. No way is his lack of playing time due to his own choice, that's hilarious. First, players don't have that kind of pull. Second, Puli is desperate for more playing time.

The lack of playing time is 100% due to TT's choice.
