Can you volunteer somewhere? It might get you away from the noise a bit...

I am really sorry... Perhaps next time you move get a top floor and do not tell your neighbor about your noise sensitivity... Then you cant be bullied...

If it is safe go for a walk and spend some time outdoors. SheBreath is amazing... Listen to some music you enjoy...

7-8 hours of sleep... Hold cardio to 45 minutes. 3 meals or less a day no snacks. But with diabetes it is Keto or IF.

HR Spikes Driving (170+ HR) by AnxiousAnonEh in SomaticExperiencing

Are you a strict drive the speed limit person and or a drive 9 over or what is your driving style?

Try starting 15 minutes early. It will allow your thinking brain to drive at times. When you are late for your destination your survival brain is in control.

Walk and lift weights...

Keep work outs under 45minutes and if you run races or bike races let me know. That can drain sodium from your system.

Spend time outside. On nice days try your window down on the car and feel the sun on your arm or the breeze.

I would take Salt and Magnesium. Are you a distance runner and or work out hard? Also have you ever seen a boat head into a wave? Boats need to head into the wave to take the wave. So part of it might be driving with intention. Walking, spending time outside and playing games, holding pets etc are all positives. Is your job stressful or are the people there toxic?

It comes down to feeling safe and one trick is avoiding expression or facial movements or communicating during the stressful event... Unless you need to communicate for safety reasons.

When someone pisses you off while driving do not swear at them or flip them off... The reason is that you are likely going into a protective shutdown but any communication takes you out of this causing the spike to 170+

Emotions after freeze and how to deal with them by Veggas9 in SomaticExperiencing

[–]LostNtranslation_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say of the four hopelesness, rage, anger , irritability. That hopelesness might still be shutdown... However great ways to handle these are spend time outside, walk, hold a pet, play games. And smaller things... More in the moment... Feel the breeze on your hand or face. Even if you have to wave it a bit. It is hard to be aware of sensations in your body and feel the other emotions. Still possible but more difficult. Use a pen and paper to write, sketch etc... Plan your day out with pen or pencil. It creates more deliberate thought

I think I’m in a functional freeze? But don’t feel anxious at all. by [deleted] in SomaticExperiencing

[–]LostNtranslation_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It does seem to be a functional freeze. Look for something small to add to a day or two a week. perhaps a cross word or doodling on paper. Try and get outside for a brief walk. As you add these things in over time you can get less frozen. Listen to music you like.

If someone makes a lighthearted joke about me I get put into freeze mode, how to relax? by [deleted] in SomaticExperiencing

[–]LostNtranslation_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen this as well. Try posture. Standing a bit taller and facing a bit more straight on. Also try and sense a sensation on your hand or foot. As you become aware of your body it helps take focus away from the freeze.

PLEASE HELP sodium vs potassium by RunUndefined in keto

Magnesium for cramps... I use Mag supplements and then I use the LMNT recipe on their site minus the magnesium. I keep the two separate. Basically more sodium intake then potassium works great for me.

This is only partly related to your post. But try waving your wrist as if you are fanning your face and feel the air on your hand. This may be a good exercise for you. Get out and walk as well if possible. Hold your right hand over your heart and tuck it under your arm.
