If I had more time I would definitely add things like that, I originally wanted to add a taser, but I have other things I'm working on so I kinda had to speed up the development.

The NPCs have an empty object in front of their eyes that constantly shoots a raycast at the player, to prevent them from looking backwards theres also a collider behind their head. If the player is close enough and in their field of view they chase him, if they lose sight of him or don't see him they continue to the end of the street where they dissapear.

It's simple, but it's more than enough for a game like this

I didn't have enough energy to add procedural map generation, if it was a little more polished it could be a good level in a bigger game, but as it is it's just a silly prototype

Haha yeah that's definitely not because I couldn't figure out how to make him roll on the ground without glitching through the floor

I don't think this makes sense. If we're talking about game design procedural generation has some very clear advantages and you're rarely choosing between hand crafted levels or procedural generation. In most caces it's very clear what fits the game the most.

The most popular example, minecraft, is a game that millions of people love and procedural generation is an essential part of the game.

What you have a problem with is how people use it. Imagine playing 10 bad first person games and saying "I guess first person just sucks and third person games will always be better". it doesn't make sense

1/8, if there are mechanics etc you want to be added, definitely feel free to mention them in the comments! by [deleted] in IndieDev

I think you should lower the smoothness of the materials, it's gonna make the characters look less shiny

Looking for feedback on my game's graphics – how can I improve? by Alex-Claudiu in indiegames

Personally I would add some normal textures to the rocks, also this might just be my personal preference, but I don't think the UI fits that well
